ok you put Sunderland’s misdemeanours up against the horrendous human rights record of the new Newcastle owners.......they are not comparable. Amnesty international have repeatedly called the latter the worst of the worst. But it shows how trivialised the Newcastle fans feel about it. The underlying reason why the Newcastle fans were so vocal about Mike Ashley had nothing to do with unscrupulous working conditions of sports direct, they just used it as a conduit to force him out because they didn’t like how he ran the club. Chi Onwurah silence since her parliamentary protests underscores how low their moral stock is.

mate, I didn’t put Sunderland’s up against Newcastles. Somebody else used that as a measure and I replied.

nobody’s arguing the alleged harshness of this Saudi regime but what exactly is it that you want NUFC fans to do here, In terms of you being satisfied in terms of a response ?

Wonder if you will protest against their working conditions like you did against Ashley...

We all know the answer for that one though.

No it's not, he is right in what he has said.

A mega spending spree distracts away from morals to you as a fanbase. Aslong as it 'appears' that they are trying to improve the club by spending money, thats all you are arsed about.

Not for me or anyone i've spoken to, I had no interest in the Middle East and now I have, those issues and any spending highlight this as it will be brought up if and it is a massive if, when taken over, buying players or winning anything, by rival supporters and the media....

The fact you’ve used the words “alleged harness” just shows how it’s became about perception management. Their appalling human rights record has been verified by international human rights organisations including amnesty international and the UN. But as long as he spends money, it’s alright.
The reason I’m saying this is the boat load of abuse Newcastle fans gave Sunderland fans about the Adam Johnson incident, saying we have contemptible low moral virtues.
It’s just so convenient the Newcastle fans have lost this moral superiority because money is coming in. Detestable

Not sure how it's going to work with FFP - City found plenty of ways around it - but if they pump in enough to make you successful, then it'll probably do both, I guess. But the main focus and will be on the glory, and the other stuff in the background. And they'll keep pumping more and more in till the other stuff gets smaller and smaller. But, really, it won't be - it'll still be there, still happening.

Newcastle are the headline here, but it's absolutely happening everywhere. This should be on football - it should be on fit and proper tests - but it's all about money.

Understandably, Bobby from Cowgate cares more about NUFC than he does the Middle East, or human rights, etc. And I get that. But that's why they're doing this. The money's fuck all to them. The head of PIF has a painting worth more than they're paying for NUFC. It's all about cultural acceptance.

Fair point, but it will not be forgotten about because a football team does well, yes maybe brushed aside on Tyneside but not anywhere else....

look, if you want to be the moral winner here then be my guest. If you are looking to rank incidents and see your past demeanours as less detestable than ours then again you do that. Not once have I looked to compare here as you know.

other than you now being the moral winner here, what else do you want out of this ? It’s been proven by countless clubs over countless years that principles go out of the window once it affects their club so again, what is it that collectively NUFC fans can do here ?

Lucky! It looks like it was knocked up in an afternoon by a dodgy double glazing firm. A mess.

The city centre location is becoming pretty unique now and it is good being able to finish your pint in town and be in your seat 5 minutes later. It’s the next 90 minutes that are usually the let down...
The grey seats are awful.

Would be nice to have some black and white ones somewhere like

Serious question for the thousands of mags who infest this site. St James’ was described as a lop sides carbuncle by previous owner John Hall and with the new stadia shooting up, Man City, Arsenal, Spurs, etc..., it’s starting to look a little sad to say the least.

If this takeover goes ahead and the new murderous regime decide to throw obscene amounts of blood money at the club, would you want them to flatten St James’ and build a more visually appealing stadium fit for the 21st century, or are you quite happy to keep the lop sided carbuncle?
Yes I xpect we will cos we are the bigust club in urope like. Wiv awl our muney we will blow the rest ov the leeg away like. We will buý Sunlun and yus it as traynun gownd an yu will go down the pan like. So long sukkers ..... like.
