Haven’t really paid too much attention to this story but noticed today the magedia seem to be getting themselves very excited. The tone seems to be yes these are bad people buying the club but it’s ok cos the poor toon fans have had it so hard they deserve succes!

Compare it to the witch hunt that went on when we dared to appoint a crazy Italian with right wing beliefs. 🤔

It has been an enjoyable few years with 1008 messages achieving 534 likes.

Impressive stats for somebody who was effectively acting in subterfuge or, less subtly, taking the piss.

Special mention for the one board member smart enough to identify that the avatar was agent Joe Pistone. I could have went with a more obscure covert ops avatar, Robert Maheu, perhaps but that would not have given you all a sporting chance. Recommended reading by the way, the life story of Bob Maheu. So far fetched you would think it was fiction.

At this juncture there is little to gain. The gap between ouclubs threatens now to become an irrevocable chasm for more than a generation indeed a lifetime.

At that point any thought of rivalry will be a mere footnote in the memory.

Perhaps, this is the most dramatic departure since King Kevin left in a helicopter. I am too modest to say.

i can remember reading only one of your posts, which was yesterday, when i correctly called you out as a mag. Hardly the king of espionage! You’ll be back you wont be able to resist it as SAFC are clearly your world

Quinny called it mate, Sunderland gets under your skin, that gimps just one in a long line of many

Can't understand all of the pundits saying it will be shocking if he is replaced when the takeover goes through.

He has made a career over walking out on clubs that have given him a chance to rebuild his reputation.

Cant really complain when it is the other way round can he.

I think he will get replaced, maybe not straightaway, he's not a very good manager

Regardless of the reason, you were asking who he walked out on, and 4 have already been mentioned. He has always bemoaned his treatment from certain owners and sections of fans, but loyalty works both ways.

If you were in the championship managing someone but your local team in the league above came calling what would you do.

Bet you're ugly as fuck mind.

The same as him of course, I never questioned his actions, I was just making the point, as did another poster, that he has walked out on clubs.

For my mag mates it would be great for them, for me, I'm being completely turned off football by my shower of a club failing to cut the mustard in the third tier of English football, so TBH I care not about what is happening up the road.

I will say though, the parallels being drawn with the Man City lot is a bit strange. The Man City owners didn't have to concern themselves with FFP when they were tossing their silly money around, so I can't quite work out how the Saudi's are going to get around it to do the same.

Agreed, so glad I’ve gotten into the NFL and Rugby Union over the past few years. Two sports with a salary cap so at least there’s some parity.
