Keeping his stores open could have killed hundreds, if not thousands. Why do you think everywhere non-essential was closed in the first place?

He was willing to expose his workforce to significant risk just to top up his coffers, man. He doesn’t apologise lightly as well you know.

Furloughing his non-playing staff is a lesser crime but his still taking public money when he doesn’t have to. You’ll be in support of Branson getting whatever he wants too, I imagine?

Mike Ashley is a proven liar and a stranger to morality. A man of upmost integrity, Kevin Keegan, proved his deceit in a court of law.

It is reasonable to expect Amanda Staveley is a much more ethically minded, altruistic and personable custodian of their club.

Will only fully believe it when it's done where Ashley is concerned. This seems more advanced than any other time, but it's still ultimately on Ashley who seems like he changes his mind at the drop of a hat.

As would anyone with even the slightest bit of common sense.

If the club is a mess financially, it loses its spending power, which then translates to onfield performances right up until the moment the club goes into liquidation and ceases to exist.

Only an absolute cretin would believe a club should keep spending and keep spending beyond its means just to improve onfield performances while sending the club hurtling towards financial oblivion.

Unfortunately we seem to have more than our fair share of those. As does football in general to be fair.
