They’ll walk round ffp, assuming these are the real deal they’ll use every trick in the book. Don’t forget City only got caught because of thick ***** sending emails that weren’t properly hidden

Aye because they won't be scrutinising any takeover like this will they.

Do you think Chelsea and arsenal will think this is good news? A deal like this puts a massive target on your back that's why Man City got caught

Caulkin replied to a tweet saying the last time he spoke to Staveley she promised 100 million over two transfer windows on improving the squad.

Less money than Ashley put in, They'll be calling for the Saudis out in no time.

As I’ve said, not my words before you all start pissing your knickers.

Do you think that what he said sounds out of the ordinary anyway? It sounds like a typical Ashley deal.

I don't know anything about the deal, and I'm not that arsed either way of I'm honest....

Just when you have a box you don't get told the ins and outs of the club, I imagine he's just being told this by someone else trying to look like they are in the know....

The most depressing part (if the more heady predictions are accurate) for me is the inward investment that’ll flow towards Tyneside rather than Wearside. The most exciting part of the Dell story was the talk of legacy projects and investing in the area.

The potential sportwashing is awful on every level for SAFC and the city as a whole.
You make a very good point...the Reuben brother's are in on this and they already own a big part of Newcastle city... Northumberland street and Gosforth park racecourse are just two.
From what I've heard they want to expand in the city and around St James Park.

One of the richest clubs in the world when this happens

Their spending power will be massive they will get world class players

What world class players? Do you think Neymar and Messi are going to go there?

- FFP won’t allow it
- Everton have spent £400 million and are midtable
- They were the City of the 90’s and won nothing

Man City haven't even signed a Neymar or Messi stature of player. It takes more than money to sign the very best

TBF they will be able to have a go at attracting anyone they want as money / wages won't be an issue.

You can sponsor stadiums and all sorts to get around FFP.

You dont half overplay your hand with this one marra. Less than 12 hours ago it was Liverpool and Glasgow, now it's the 4 referenced above. Any more to chuck in by 10 o clock tonight?

I have done the major leagues. Feyenoord of Rotterdam might be another.

Typically it is large cities with a regional identity far removed from the seat of government. Tends to be the common denominator.

I'd feel much better about the club without a doubt. The only negative really from this is all the Saudi sportswashing and human rights press the club will get mentioned with. That's why Man United supporters didn't want to be owned by them.
All I seen when they tried to buy Man United was fans wanting rid of the Glazers and wanted the Saudi money. It would of made Man U the richest club in the world and when you add on the money they pull in from sponsors they would of been unstoppable

Imagine my upset if we were banned from the champions League for 2 years... We are in it so regularly ;)

Haha fair enough but you get the point. The last few transfer windows haven't been that bad for you. Ashley spent what 40m on a striker and 20 million in January. That's not bad to be fair. I know before that it's been poor though.

Ashley’s nett spend over 13 years was barely over zero. Don’t let facts get in the way.

What world class players will move there? They won’t be to attract world class players ffs. They won’t want to live in Newcastle for a start.

I’m glad someone else has seen sense-the league is so saturated now. I think it’ll be similar to what Wolves have done.

They don't understand net spend here mate. They fail to realise if you sell a player for 4m and buy the same position for 5m you have spent little and barely strengthened.
