I might be wrong but many a new castle fan has come on here when I have said he's stupid to pay up front, it gives the selling club more power, but they've said it brings the price down. For me football is so shirt form that you are giving the selling club the advantage

We're in the shite yes but I can't understand how you can't see that for some, maybe most, Sunderland fans, Newcastle taking off and actually winning something would be a tad galling.
 
It seems to being reported by news outlets, globally, that would not normally report rumour without foundation.
