Ashleys not daft, there will be clauses in this.

It looks like Staveley has paid a 13M deposit, Ashley is lending her back 150M for the purchase (which will likely include Sports Direct advertising etc) - No real mention of the Saudis at the moment but suppose they could come in further down the line.

Looks like Stavleys at the moment with Reuben brothers financing it.

Not so sure I agree with good luck to them - that's not something I could ever wish, but to be honest I don't know why anyone on here cares about the Mags anymore. We are so far away from the Premier League now that it's of little consequence to us. If we're worried there might be another plastic Mags supporter surge, the failings of the last three seasons (and this one) are the self-inflicted reasons why, rather than a boardroom takeover up the road.

Did she win/settle with Barclays? Maybe she's hanging her hat on that and planning on paying him off with the payout? Sounds risky.

On Stavely and her rumoured partners. Quite how this has passed through your filter to mean 'Anyone but Ashley' is anyone's guess tbh.

I'm still in the massively cynical mindset fwiw.

Don't blame anyone for being excited about a potential takeover.

However, you don't know who her 'rumoured partners' are, so they quite literally are 'anyone but Ashley'.
