Newcastle employees received Charnley’s email as it emerged the Premier League has been formally informed that Saudi Arabia’s Pubic Investment Fund is attempting to buy out the club’s owner, Mike Ashley.

Ashley probably desperate to sell now knowing the value of everything is going to plummet. Very strange time to buy anything when in all likelihood you could buy anything a whole lot cheaper in 12 months time.

That said it does look like a lot of people who clearly know, such as caulkin, believe this may go through now. So that's just grand.
