Thanks for posting that up. A good read that - albeit a fairly painful one. I think it is a decent summation of what happened. I remember when we beat Bolton in January and having a blazing pissed-up row with my brother in a bar in Newcastle (Steppes, maybe) saying something along the lines of "we won't win the league playing like that". The west Ham and Arsenal games were awful, adding to the sense of doom. I could go on.......

An air if inevitability around it perhaps. Football is so much in the mind

It doesn’t matter if it goes through. They’ve missed the boat unless FFP is drastically altered or scrapped.

TBH I hope that football is looked at after all this and more of a level playing field can be obtained. It’s boring as out seeing the same select few teams hoovering up all the trophies year after year and it’s the same all over Europe.

Won’t hold my breath though.

Aye it pisses me off that the players sitting on the big clubs bench would instantly be star players for the rest of the premier league clubs.

Man City could put out their entire second team for the season and would probably still finish top 6.

Players are happy to sit on the bench and pick up huge wages rather than actually play games for a bit less coin.

Big clubs happy to fork out wages as they can afford to hoard players in case they need them when injuries and suspensions kick in.

What chance does everyone else have? I don't think we'l ever seen another Leicester season again tbh unless the PL bubble bursts like it did in Italy in the 90's.

Agent fees need to be capped or they need to be paid by the players they represent. Why clubs are expected to pay these parasites millions of pounds every time there is a transfer is beyond me.

I’d also like to see squad sizes limited and the loan system overhauled so it stops the likes of Chelsea hoarding talent and having something ridiculous like 30 players out on loan per year. It’d encourage a more even spread of talent.

The ultimate dream would be a salary cap but I don’t see how that’s feasible in such a global game.
