Why not highlight those of her constituents who turned up at the airport and lost money travelling abroad? She panders to the masses, saying something along the lines of "Newcastle fans already have enough to put up with" mentioning their ownership.

If she is raising the issue and wasting parliaments time, surely she should look to raise the matrer for all of them who are out of pocket?
I'd like to actually see a direct quote for what she said before I get the pitch forks out.

As said elsewhere on this thread, her job is to raise issues that effect her constituents.

Good job they can get there on the train at no extra cost.

@RailDeliveryGrp: Britain’s train operators have agreed to provide free travel to Flybe staff and customers unable to travel over the next week.

Please show proof of employment or planned journey (boarding card or flight confirmation) to station staff who will help you get to your destination.

Looking after her constituents. The absolute cheek of it.

What about her constituents who are Sunderland supporters or those who don't give a fuck about football? Why waste tax payers and parliaments time by not raising the issue for everyone who is out of pocket??

Also, why use Flybe and this issue as an excuse to mention the ownership of what is a private company?? She's an absolute joke man.

You've got this total idiot banging on about Ashley and the mags in Parliament then Corbyn saying what he did at the miners gala. And you wonder why Labour are in tatters and people have stopped voting for them.
I don't think the reason Labour are in the state they are is because Chi mentions the mags in Parliament. She kept her seat so her constituents must be pleased with the job she is doing otherwise she'd have been out on her arse.

Exactly. Did she pipe up when Thinas Cook went bust and people from her constituency lost jobs?
Of course she didn’t. Not all of her constituents are Mags. Why didn’t she raise the issue on behalf of everyone that’s ended up out of pocket not just mag fans. She’s the ultimate self promoting waste of a wage politician. Her and her ilk are a large reason politicians aren’t really taken seriously any more.

We’re those travelling down to Southampton on Saturday via Flybe?

Like said above, I’d like to see the exact quotes before I can take your criticisms on board.

Eh? Do you actually understand what an MP is supposed to do?

Do you think she can only raise issues in Parliament that everyone of her constituents agrees with?

Admit it, this is because she's a Mag and MP for Newcastle central. If it was a Sunderland MP you wouldn't have an issue

Here you go.....

chi onwurah (@ChiOnwurah) Tweeted: #Flybe staff & suppliers need Govt support after its collapse. As does @NCLairport & #NUFC fans heading to #Southampton. The Minister promised me help - & support for Newcastle

She's just another MP who got the job for all the wrong reasons . The sort of reasoning that will hopefully keep the Labour party out of power for a long, long time . I voted for them for 50 years .

Because Newcastle United’s stadium is inside her constituency. You seem to be getting angry at an MP carrying out her obligation to her constituents.

Come on Sima, we both know what she's been trying to do. It's pure populism, she even mentioned exploitative ownership of NUFC and fans having "enough to deal with".
Her constituency includes some of the most deprived areas in the country though she keeps trying to curry favour with those who shout loudest

That was clearly toungue in cheek. Ideally don't see the issue here. She asked what the government was doing, rail companies have announced free travel to all affected travellers.

Job done
