I see there’s parking at Oxford for 2000 cars, I take it that means it’s going to be a nightmare getting out. Are there any other parking alternatives nearby? Not been before.
I parked there for the Milk Cup game. Pain to get in, but left bang in the end, legged it to the car and got out onto the road inside 5 mins. Any later and it would be a pain.

Just got my ticket. Haven't decided yet whether to do it as a day trip or to make a weekend out of it. There is some fine drinking to be done in Oxford even if the stadium is at the arse-end of the city.

Just got ours - we're driving down and back on the day but no space in the car to offer: boys going to the match, girls going to Bicester Outlet Village

Anyone got an idea how early you'd have to get there to get a space? I'm not so bothered about getting out quickly, so it would be ideal for me if there's space.

F***, was going to buy tickets tonight. Looks like it will be home end or nothing, unless some MLFs can’t make it.

if you don't go in their car park just go past the ground so it's on your left and plenty of parking on the main road. you might have to walk a bit depending what time you arrive, we had to last year but plenty of room and by the time we'd got back to the car most of the traffic had cleared.

Do you want the bad news if you are driving?

We have employed a traffic management company to deal with "large" crowds. To call them fudging useless would be over stating their skill set.

As above, pass the ground on your left and park along Grenoble Road if you are there early.

If you park on Blackbird Leys, outside of the CPZ, then you will probably have to walk all the way around the ground because the mobile wall will be deployed.

Number 5 bus from the train station.

Best of luck tonight mate. I hope you’ve made arrangements to have your ground fumigated tomorrow.
having a sewage works in such close proximity to your stadium may help to improve on the stench from the away section.

I'm having breakfast in Brown's, my dear, then hitting the bars. What bus goes to ground from centre? Ah, just seen link.

Alternative option for travel is to listen to Super Kev in Reading at Phantom Brewing, tickets are £16.76 and include return coach between brewery and ground. Should be a great event, hopefully the football doesn't spoil the day. Thames Valley branch will be there in force and we'd love to hear from anyone in the Thames Valley area. Give TV Mackems a follow on Twitter for more info on how to get in touch with Thames Valley branch.

Super Kev at Phantom Brewing Reading

Brewery is approximately 10 mins walk from Reading Station, given the chaos getting out of the car park after the league cup game you are likely to be back at the brewery before you'd get out of the car park if you drive to Oxford ;)

Reading Station to Phantom Brewing Co.

Cracking away day this - beautiful City, and great City Centre pubs for a pub crawl pre-match.

5 pubs in/around The Broad, and another 3 not far from the Randolph Hotel.

8 pubs in a 15 minute walk. Sorted my pub route out already.

What's not to like
