Whisky

I got one yesterday from asda Auchentoshan single malt american oak, was 20 quid down from 32 or summit. Dont know if it's a good one or rated highly or not , but I really enjoyed it last night, one of my favourites so far. Only tried a few other single malts.

Got that last week and thought it was canny.

I also bought a bottle of this last week and thought it was enjoyable.

Looked at membership before...guessing you think it’s worth it ;)

I buy less and less from them but they've released some cracking Springbanks, Laphs and Bushmills in the last year or so. I'm in London regularly so I use the bar on Greville St quite a lot which makes membership more worthwhile.

Aye looked at the bars/venues and I’d be unlikely to benefi.
Some cask strength Springbanks sound almost worth the membership alone

Whats your verdict on Arran ? Just ordered a couple having tried some taster drams...very good value they seem

Arran is decent. Typically I prefer bourbon cask whiskies but with Arran my preference is for sherried, especially Amontillado or Palo Cortado. Whiskybroker regularly release Arran's so they're worth keeping an eye on if it turns out to be your tipple.

They do have various finishes and also a full on sherry bodega bottle...ordered QC and their 10

You do seem to have a nice collection of Campbeltown btw...very jealous
Got much Glen Scotia ?

Cant say I’ve had many. When I’m in Campeltown I’m typically spent up after leaving the Cadenheads shop, especially if the cage is well stocked. I’ve done the Glen Scotia tour a couple of times but never had a wow dram from them, albeit I’ve probably only tried a dozen expressions.
