So go on then. Explain how suddenly everything is better in the academy, explain the loan, explain the complete lack of scouting.

Who said anything about "suddenly"?

The academy results are irrelevant. They mean nothing. Wasn't it
Arsene Wenger who said he wished they would scrap the league tables at the younger levels because at those levels it was more about experience than results?

Our scouting team needed sacking because they were a:shite and b: taking the piss with their expenses. A new setup is in progress. Thumbs up from me. It would have been nice for the new system to have been put into place faster, but I have two possible explanations for why it took so long: 1: maybe they were keeping the books balanced while they secured the investment? It would explain why the new system was announced immediately after the investment was finalised; 2: maybe that's just how long it takes to conceive and implement an overhaul of an entire scouting system?

I don't know what needs explaining about the loan. SD/CM always said from the start that they planned to bring in other investors but wanted to take over the club quickly so they started with just themselves and JS rather than delaying taking over the club to find the others first. And when the loan was announced they said they didn't need it for League 1 but it's better to get these things in place in advance rather than waiting until we're promoted and do it at the last minute. Makes sense to me.

When results aren't going our way. Some folks lash out at everything. If we had been flying high at the top of the table all season nobody would have given a shiney shite about these other things.

Sooner or later Donald was always going to leave. I don't think the middle of the season is ever a good time for a change in ownership personally. I won't be voting. Not enough options.

Donald has been here over 18 months and you think it’s a positive that we’re only setting up scouting now?

Academy results don’t mean anything yet were told by Donald and Methven that we can’t stop our players leaving to go to Man U despite the fact we finished above them the season before last.

Donald said in his first interviews that he had the funding to take us to the championship and possibly the premier league. 18 months on and he’s having to take out a loan secured against the club itself just to fix a lift.

Aye he’s f***ing amazing.

"Just to fix a lift", "a positive we're just setting up the scouting now"... haway man, at least stay sensible with your arguments.

Still out. He doesn’t really know what he’s doing, lacks any kind of football knowledge and has the club blundering blindly all over the shop. Let’s hope he’s got lucky with the Parkinson appointment - but don’t mistake blind fortune for strategy. We will never overperform our budget with Donald as owner.

Because the football and results are generally shite.
Just look at the level of vocal support at many of these small clubs grounds we have visited at this level. They have never tasted real success but back their teams to the hilt every game. PS.. Atmosphere yesterday was the best this season so far and long may it continue..

No they don't though. They usually have a drum with a pocket of fans that sing. We're their biggest game of the season. It's difficult for our fans to get motivated watching league one teams as a club of our stature should really be rolling them over, much as we did yesterday.

Four goals on Saturday and the most I could muster by way of celebration was a bit of a fist pump.
