His comments about FPP would mean that your gut feeling is wrong. It's very difficult to tell where his motives are now which is pretty scary.
His comments on FPP contradict what he said last time he was on.I've not listened to it, but from the reports on here his comments on FPP were contradictory and incoherent. I'm not sure we can conclude anything.
He is correct in the club being bought using the parachute payments. It is, GOM is correct.
Of that:
£5m was paid up front by Donald as a deposit.
£25m to SBC was paid in August of 2018 (or by that date, I believe it was spread over two financial years just to complicate matters) from parachute payments
and around £6-7m was paid to Ellis Short in April 2019 via a loan that was advancing parachute payments.
Assuming the latter hasn't been paid back (which we haven't heard and it's a source of great interest to me), effectively £32m was used of the club's money to fund the deal and he should owe it back.
well tbf marra, he didnt get it right at Eastleigh did he ?nah. Witch-hunt imo!
feel sorry for the bloke. He would have got it right eventually.
Nobody gets time at SAFC though..
I think it fairly obvious, this was about trying to get some back on side to buy time in the hope we somehow get back into contention and welcome him back with open arms...... failed miserably by continually contradicting himself and rewriting history! His comments about FPP would mean that your gut feeling is wrong. He basically said they invested in him and the senior management of the club. They won't buy the club without him.I've not listened to it, but from the reports on here his comments on FPP were contradictory and incoherent. I'm not sure we can conclude anything.

Anyone summarise what was said nice and succinctly cheers?
He is correct in the club being bought using the parachute payments.
however Donald described it as a cash flow issue, Ellis agreed to take the parachute payments and Donald would pay them back into the club over 4 years (I think, he mentioned the specific amounts in the plan for each year).
That's fair comment.Until the accounts are released, we cannot believe a word Donald says regarding financial information.

Yes I know, they have changed their story on the parachute payments about half a dozen times since they came in.Methven, in their first RR podcast specifically said the para payments were for 'security' only for it they didn't pay the remaining fee for the club.
basically the rawa statement gave him the out he secretly wanted {imho}

It’s one of the things I have been most critical about them for.
I didn’t think anyone would buy his snake oil guess, I was wrong. I bet there are Nigerian Princes that absolutely love you.Very different kettle of fish. Look at what he managed to attract here with the Dell investment... that was based on his vision, the stature of the club and the absolute potential.
That now vanishes once he goes.
Not to say something better won’t come along, it might, who knows
It appears as though you may be right. I really enjoyed them. The biggest mistake they've made was doing those podcasts.
