When does it end? When will we be happy? I know this isn't the time but it just seems no matter what there is always discontent with the fans.

PP must go and I hope SD find us a better owner but how long will it be until we run them out of town too? Only managers I remember since the SOL opened not being openly booed out are Keane and Big Sam. The rest are hassled after 10 bad games. Again this isn't the time seemingly but at some point soon we need stability.
Ten bad games eh
When was the last good game BSA iirc

I understand the point completely but there is a committee that is elected democratically to run the organisation for a year and sometimes that involves making some judgement calls. The committee were consulted and the co -opted reps were also consulted. The latter is important as the point of having co-opted reps like @Ghandi Floss is so we can hopefully take the temperature of the majority of fans that way. And of course the tide has generally turned these past couple of weeks - in and out the stadium.
When it came to deciding when and how to become active on this it was done quite quickly, without time for a full consultation.
It's not perfect but I think the co-opt process and the central committee election means we've acted with what the majority of fans and members want. The overall reaction is testiment to that I think.

Like a knee jerk response you mean or something..

SD saying "he has to get it right". Disgusting appointment. Ross had to go though, I haven't chenged my mind about that.

SD has to go to now though, the whole thing stinks. Real shame it's come to this.

Missing 10m etc

Yes we did.
No we didn’t
We did struggle. A lot of our games involved us scraping wins and draws. We beat only 2 or 3 teams convincingly and when you are going for automatic promotion that is never going to get you it.

The fact we are in league one means jack shit, a lot of those wins came about despite us not having more or better chances than the opposition. No matter what the league, when you are one of the top two teams you beat teams convincingly, creating double the chances the opposition do as Luton did even when getting beat at the start. Our ability to do this, or inability more to the point caught up with us which is why we ended up fifth and beaten by the much better team in the play-off final. It's also why we weren't good enough at the start of this season as well
Doesn’t matter if you scrape a 1-0 win or win 5-0 you get the same points, it’s small margins if we had won 2 or 3 more games we would of been promoted.

Promised the fans a 100 point season and claimed there was money to spend. Meanwhile Jack Ross was saying it was "1 in 1 out policy" while players were sold without his knowledge.

The whole time Donald was desperately trying to sell the club as he had clearly banked on us going up first time of asking. Why else would he spend £3m on Grigg in January?? No one in their right mind would spend that kind of money if they were looking at long term stability. The only hope I have is that the Americans intend to take us over.

Yes we did.

absolutely correct. We struggled to win games against other sides in the top half last season. Our record against them was mediocre at very best. We laboured in a lot of games but there was seemingly a good team spirit and we had a couple of quality players at this level to make us competitive but it covered for how lacking we were in several areas. It’s why I could never get carried away at any stage last year.

This season, the team spirit is all but gone and what little quality we had has either been sold or is about to be given the heave ho as of next week. The results shouldn’t really have come as too much of a shock for supporters this season after last but the giddiness of winning games at any level clouded a lot of judgement (quite understandably given that we were so desperate for two years beforehand).

Poyet was turned on like! I remember Villa ripping us apart up here and people were trying to get into the dugout at him! I think we were 4-0 down after 35 minutes or something?

I can't recall fans chanting Poyet Out...

The odd fan trying to get to him is hardly hounding him out.

It’s getting a bit tedious seeing this line about ‘hindsight’ being trotted out and from other quarters that ‘we were all fooled’.

Truth is, plenty weren’t willing to get carried away with nice deeds and podcasts. Plenty expressed concern about players being sold (despite being told they wouldn’t have to be) and replaced with very iffy replacements. Plenty could see that the squad we assembled was a rag-tag bunch that at best would produce workmanlike performances to churn out results. It was clear as day we weren’t building for a long term future as had been claimed in podcasts.
Told you so's are equally, if not more tedious to me.

Over the whole season it does though, firstly there's goal difference. Additionally having a game won early allows you to sub players so they get a rest. With our best players generally being the older ones and with us playing so many games last season this could have made all the difference towards the end of the season when our form dropped massively.

By that logic we could just as easily have lost a few more games and not been in the play-offs at all. Luck determines a few individual moments in games but the league table very rarely lies, over 46 games across 9 months we finished where we deserved to, and so far this season we are exactly where we deserve to be at this point.

Yes and we just missed out on promotion via the playoffs, we are where we are this season because of appt PP we wouldn’t be anywhere near here if Ross was still in charge
