Why would he agree to that loan? Must of been desperate I think.

I agree with large parts of your post. I think without him, we could have been in a worse state financially and we did go very close last year. He negotiated the investment/takeover and remained loyal to Ross but then made an error of judgement by appointing a journeyman when ambition was needed.

I'm not sure where he can go from here - would sacking Parky give him some breathing space to remain? Would he really want to remain in the present climate? Would the yanks agree to buy him out? If not, what other options would he have?

Drive him out but where is the night in shining armour?
Take a deep breath cross our fingers and hope it doesn’t end the club, because we are that close.
Damned if we do damned if we don’t but it’s not worth things getting worse.

It's looking like hes took a 9m loan out to get the club through the season. How much worse could it be? We could already be teetering on the edge
