I had a really great year. Started the year in a job I detested, with the boss from hell. I would wake up every morning hating myself and my life. But, I quit that job (eventually) and went to Glastonbury, then went travelling all over Europe for four months. In the process meeting a girl I really like. Now i'm back at University (Cambridge) for my masters, on a scholarship, and I'm really enjoying that. I also spent a lot of time drunk following Sunderland around the country (and in Portugal!) with mates last season/ pre-season. I've just had a fantastic Christmas and I'm really looking forward to next year. Of course I made plenty of mistakes, and definitely wish I could change some stuff, but in general I'm happy with how it went.
I guess you really need to value the good times, as I know they won't last forever.

Started the year with a thickie in my team but he eventually quit to go to a music festival iirc
A personal good - I managed to get to go to New Zealand, a long held travel wish. Also saw a geyser - stunning.

2019 was a bit same old same old but then my Dad died in September..it's shite now like.
Any year that has a death in can always be standout sad year. Hopefully future years will be better.

The bad / ugly - had some health problems that started round about November 2018 and continued through 2019. Took a lot of time off work
The good - fighting those health problems to this day and working through them
The very good - visited some awesome places I've never been to
The outstanding - flew home to see my daughter graduate from university. Very proud dad moment
Overall more good than bad!

Not great. Savings took a hammering because of bad luck, mental health is allover the place, work has been bad and is getting worse. Positives are I still have two great kids who cheer me up/drive me mad/keep me going.

2019 has been canny for us, nothing really standout-ish (good bad or ugly) has happened but my family and I have been happy, healthy, content and made plenty of memories along the way.

Been steady away really. Works still there, change of management again cos after tweeting she'd finally stuffed the old boys network turns out one or two had been stuffing her on works time and she was quietly shuffled out the door. Got the hound all relatives still alive and kicking. Nowt I can moan about really
