We lost 3-0 to Peterborough and 2-0 at Lincoln under Ross. Also not forgetting scraping a 1-1 draw against a newly put together Bolton team.

If addressing the situation means completely destroying any team morale; not motivating any of the players (even o9 looked miserable as sin at the weekend); selecting the most defensive lineups possible, playing a style that the team cant physically play; losing two players who can win matches when motivated correctly, alienating 99% of the fans; setting out expectations of a draw against gillingham; then yes. You're right, hes addressing the situation really well.
