Tonights Meet the Gaffer

The ones slagging off those who don’t go to the games anymore are also the same ones saying how thick the mags are for constantly going to games when they want rid of Ashley.
The same ones that tell supporters to stay away if they don't attend all games, then moan like fuck at the size of the gates, for some people, going to the match means they have to sacrifice something else they enjoy doing, and what's been on offer for years now, has not been worth that sacrifice, we get the same old tired excuses, time and time again, but the only thing that changes is, we get worse, until someone gets hold of this club and gives it a bloody good shake, it won't get better, far to many people enjoying the easy ride on this gravy train.

Mate as I’ve posted before, I don’t give a shit if people go or not. What I don’t like is when the clowns seek attention about it and then encourage others to do the same. The reality is; if we all walked away the club is finished. Perhaps that is what some would like?

I have mates that due to work/not living in the area can’t commit to a SC; but they make every effort to get to the SOL 5-10 times a year. As far as I’m concerned they are just as loyal as me as a SC and should be rewarded by the club. It’s something the club don’t do enough.

Frankly, I’m sick of hearing f***ing sob stories from people who are going to walk away because we are at rock bottom (the majority of them haven’t been to the SOL for years anyway). If you want to pack in, then just fuck off. I just hope that when they decide to return, the club have taken the necessary steps to protect those loyal fans (both SC and non SC) that have kept the club afloat.
Yes, fuck those type they don’t matter. My issue is people who go to games and have been going for years getting stick after they’ve had enough. There’s so many close to f***ing it off (me included) and we can’t be blamed. This club right now is a complete joke with who’s running it. Honestly think if nothing changes we’ll be very lucky to get 15K at home next season.

Well that makes it worse, knowing the problem yet making it worse.

People will still defend him saying it wasn't his fault.
Though it is pure rumour as to how much influence he did or didn't have.
As far as I'm concerned, as manager, he should have stopped the recruitment if he knew it was wrong.
Not really. He clearly wasn’t backed in the summer. It’s one thing identifying the issue and another the owners actually backing him and bringing in what we need. Recruitment has been woeful under the current owners and its concerning Coton has kept his job given how poor it has been.

By next Wednesday morning we'll have six points, 2 clean sheets, WG will have scored in 2 matches and this site will be at one with each other and life will be tickety boo. There - I've nailed my colours to the mast.
Gerrin man! Lets have some of that!

Hopefully coton actually watches players live ,which he didnt with grigg

Point still stands what has he been doing and why is this “training upgrade” only happening now?

I think part of the problem has been playing Saturday Tuesday for a few weeks, it doesn't really allow for a great deal of training.

Methven says if we go up we will have a top 6 championship club budget

Its at the stage where i don’t believe a word the bloke says
😂😂😂What shite will this plonker spout next?

Haway man, we were lucky to rake 100K together to buy George Dobson in the last window

I don't think anyone has responded to explain what is meant by a budget here?

If Sunderland earn 10 million a season from season tickets and commercial revenue etc then we will have a budget of 10 million. The club then needs to spend money on actually running the things, like stewards at the SoL, the coaches at the AoL. The players current salaries.

We are then left with whatever amount at the end of spending on running costs with profit.

So Charlie is most likely correct in that our budget will be up there in the top half of the Championship.

A club's budget is not identical to the amount of money available to use in a transfer window, but you'd hope a big budget will have a decent bit of money left over to allow money to be used in a transfer window.

You'd also hope that the amount of our budget we are currently paying players wages is being used effectively.

Donald and Methvan should realistically move away from using the term 'budget' due to how many people misunderstand what is being said.
