If the fans were were having a go it would not be without good reason , if the cap fits you have to wear it , I am sure the fans would not be just targeting him , the lack of application is shocking and unacceptable throughout the team with a few exceptions . At the end of it if you can honestly say you tried your best and put the maximum effort in to the match I can see players being aggrieved but they are not entitled to have a go at fans who have travelled to the other end of the country and have been treated to a lack lustre team producing an unacceptable performance . They should be ashamed !!!

With hindsight we should have got rid in the summer when his stock was high. He's a luxury player and we are not in a luxurious position.

That said I've no problem with him being angry. I'm sure he sets higher standards for himself than being inconsistent in League One. That will hurt more than a bit of stick from the fans.

Play Hume behind him at left back willing to overlap, give him an option or two in the middle of the pitch that isn't absolute dross and he might actually be able to do something.
