Duke of York Epstein interview. Tomorrow @ 9pm.

i know that but in the good old USA they'e goldust for media opinion and a claim, fwiw i think he's guilty
I don't really see why taking such a big risk to win in the court of public opinion advances her cause towards justice in a court of law tbh. She's already getting somewhere, if last night is anything to go by.

She was underage at the time because they were not in the uk. He is also accused of having sex with trafficked women. Both criminal offences.

but I thought he’s meant to have had sex with her in London ? I get the trafficked bit though

Edit yes it was at Ghislaine maxwells london House.

You’re an important person, playing a national role for your country.

You find out that an old friend traffics children for his own grotesque sexual interest and is convicted for it.

You decide that you must cut off this relationship, given your position, and the fact that he’s a f***ing predatory nonce.

Do you:

A: simply stop speaking to him?
B: write him a letter informing him that you are appalled at his crimes and the relationship is over?
C: ask your legal representatives to do the same on your behalf?
D: decide that despite the awful things he has done, you should at least speak to him, so phone him to let him know?

or

E: go and stay in his f***ing house for four days while lots of young women come and go.

It's a tough one, that's for sure.

The advantage of not talking on the phone but going for a walk in the park makes sure what is discussed is not overheard. Not that I'm suggesting they had anything dodgy to discuss such as what has Epstein revealed about Andy to the Feds.

What’s he actually guilty of though ? Serious question as the lass was 17 so nothing criminal just morally wrong ?
Yes but the girl was allegedly trafficked for use as a sex slave by Epstein. The accusation isn't just that he had sex with a girl under 18.

He'd already cut off the relationship according to him last night - he'd not spoken to him for a number of years. Which is sensible and fine, especially as he was at pains to say how he wasn't really a very good friend.

And yet then he goes to visit him, flying across the Atlantic, to tell him that he cannot be in touch anymore with this not-really-a-friend. Before spending several further days in his house and attending a dinner as the honoured guest.

Just too honourable, 'as it were'

I tend to think a half decent solicitor would make mincemeat of his statements in court never mind a top class QC. Like his alibi regarding not being in a nightclub in the early hours....Fergie was away and I took my daughters (aged 8 and 10 at the time) to a Pizza place in Woking at 4:30 pm.

Wonder where the Maxwell woman is atm?

She hasn’t been charged with anything but has been accused by several girls of assisting Epstein with the trafficking.

If attention fell on her I would guess that she might be able to drop the Duke of York right in it. She hasn’t been seen in months, as far as I can gather. I’d stay away from any cliff edges if I was her.

I’ve seen it suggested that the reason for the interview may have been to try get out ahead of something damaging - and it was desperate looking enough for that to seem plausible imo. Maybe Maxwell is about to surface?

Very interesting.

uff, the blame game has started
