Leadbetter almost in tears, Parkinson clearly gutted as well

I think we need to bin off half the squad. They’re not good enough to be causing shit and having egos. I imagine Cattermole was holding it all together, shame we released him.

Some arseholey comments about Grant on this thread.
As for the others if it’s Maguire that’s causing shit and we were warned by fans of his last club then I hope the coronation crew will acknowledge the part they’ve played in this shit show.
I’m pretty sure we’ll stay up.

I like Leadbitter. He clearly loves the club and cares, but so do I and I also wouldn’t get round a football pitch very well either. Very much a romantic signing in January which, like most of our recruitment, hasn’t worked out. However, I thought he’d be a good signing at this level so can’t complain too much about signing him.

The thing with Maguire is a joke. He looks overweight and couldn’t give a shite. Someone above mentioned us having 2 luxuries for this league - I’m guessing he means McGeady and Maguire. I’d love to know where Maguire gets this attitude from because as far as I can see, he’s a 30 (almost 31) year old forward, who has only hit double figures once in his whole career and who has spent 6.5 of the last 9 seasons in either league 1 or league 2.

Donald’s mate from Oxford isn’t he?

Poor lad, obviously cares a lot. Heartbreaking to see an interview like this. Giving out the right message though, planning on working hard to turn things around.

Leadbitter on cup exit

Parkinson obviously not happy, and again, saying the right things - need strikers, need physicality, tough times, need to stick together.

Parkinson frustrated by cup exit

The way Leadbitter talks about "sticking together and not having little groups" is interesting. Perhaps not much unity in the dressing room at the moment?

Roll on January.

Great stuff, Parkinson should do the right thing and resign!

The ‘little groups’ comment is very worrying. If there are cliques developing they need sorting out in the transfer window.

It’s painful watching Leadbitter on the pitch, he’s shot I’m afraid. He was skipper last night too but there wasn’t much in the way of bollockings or encouragement in the style of Bally or Catts which is what the side needed.

As for Parky’s comments - the ‘lack of physicality upfront’ shows the way he wants to be heading.

Surely one of the groups has to be the scots/Celts e.g. Mcguire, mcgeady and mcnulty,....another will probably be Power and Grigg, likewise Dobson and ONein

And what if it’s not?

I wonder what Leadbitter means by "you can't have little groups"? Things aren't right, it sounds as though it's not great behind the scenes from that interview.

A mate of mines daughter plays football with his daughter and he said the exact same thing to him. Loads of little groups in the changing room. Doesn't seem much togetherness. Changing room was silent after the 5 nil win at home to Tranmere.

Think anyone who had even hear of Parkinson knew how he would set a team up

Makes his appointment even more baffling. We have a squad of midgets who simply can’t play the type of football he likes.

We were also 2 and a half months from a transfer window.

pretty scary that SD was happy to write off 14 games on a manager with a squad he wouldn’t be able to get a tune out of.

Yet another example of great forward planning from the boys at the top

A poster on here mentioned someone moving sideways in January. I hope that’s Grant.

The coronation crew must be feeling pretty fuckin stupid now. Maquires self confidence has always been bluff. He’s swanned around the lower divisions sabotaging his own career because he’s scared of what may happen if he does actually get nearer the top. IE he finds out he simply just isn’t that good. Maybe just maybe he may find out he is good enough? But it’s probably too late for him now. People talk and it’s a small industry and obviously someone at safc doesn’t listen.........even he seems to have had enough anarl!

Gonna make good if embarrassing viewing on Netflix this shitshow is.

Sounds like parkinson has lost a good chunk of the dressing room in 6 weeks. Evidently been a full scale tear up in the dressing room post match with a lot of things said between players by the looks.

Playing a player with a patella ligament problem which sounds like "jumpers knee", at all but even more so at centre back is nuts all round.????

This. Playing Willis and Lynch when they’re struggling with injury was absolutely stupid. You could understand it, say, for a vital promotion game, but for an unimportant game like last night was idiocy.

Taylor could have played and it would have been good experience for the lad.

I think Willis referred to it as being a quiet dressing room as well.
