Considering the goalkeeper retrieving the ball quicker necessitated him covering a greater distance and clearing an obstacle the ball boy - whose job it is - did not have, the point still stands.

The ball boys are f***ing useless.
 


Obviously it’s embarrassing as fuck but the lack of knowledge on here is just as bad

1.Only 1 ball is allowed and the multi ball system isn’t allowed and hasn’t been for years
2. The ball boys aren’t paid so it’s hardly a cost cutting measure, just incompetence.
 
Ball boys have been useless for the last few seasons. Do they actually know what they are there for!!! Clue is in their job title.
 
Remember one Saturday morning there were 7000 West Ham in that end.
Probably more than was there today.

I’m not saying there’s not a problem. I’m not saying I’m happy. I’m just saying what I saw. If the other 40k had turned up they could’ve thrown it back. I’m not expecting them to because we’re shit but it’s a glib statement like yours. We’re in the shit and the only ones who can get us out of it are the players. They’re better than the shit they’re serving up and need to prove it or jog on. I watched Nasser Hussain talk about the people he wanted on the England team today and he wanted to have people who could perform under pressure. That’s what we need. We have about 1 at present.
 
Crazy the reaction to this video, there were at least 2 ball boys in that video. Granted they were far too slow and have been for some time fans are going mental about cost cutting in the club and again more stick for donald. Granted hes done plenty to deserve criticism but when fans are having a go at him for stuff like this i cant blame him for wanting to stay behind the scenes
 
Why aren’t the ball boys doing their job though man.
is it a generation thing, as in do they think they’re to cool or something. for years the ball takes a bastard age to get back unless it lands in the crowd. It’s a shite small time thing to moan about I know but it has done my head in for ages as well as a load of my mates.
I know there’s loads more to moan andshout about but it’s so simple to fix.
that today is fuckin embarrassing.
get some kids who want to be there and support the team and like magic they’ll get it back quick as fuck Because they care.
Ive got 2 kids who are 5 and 9 who’d be over the moon to do that.

Seeing the keeper nearly slip when going over the tape back onto the pitch would have capped yesterday off i felt embarrassed enough watching it in the ground.
Its been picked up by the likes of the BBC with the caption "Wheres the ball boys and the fans?" which has meant its spread over social media reflects very badly on the club. It makes us look pathetically small time and amateurish which is what we are right now. It is death by a thousand cuts.
