I know it isn’t a takeover (and never has been as far as I know). I would expect an announcement when significant investment is made

“A has made B investment and C will continue with the running of the club” is relatively understandable
 

I hope that if and when the club makes a statement on this, it will include emphasis on how important it is for us to go up this year. It just might inspire a surge in the already exceptional support from us,the likes of which will rarely have been seen at this level or the next.We are capable. If it's a shit or bust effort, confirm it and get everyone on board.
It will only confirm what the management team already know,and,may inspire the players on the pitch!

Spot on mate ,sounds to me that the way its been done is to give us wiggle room in jan.

Problem is SEP call me an old cynic but most of these players wont be here next season.So a cash bonus needs to be offered to them on promotion IMO

The effect on the players is difficult to guage......it may be that many of them will know they aren't going to cut it in Div 2,but they may view good performances as a chance to get themselves a good deal with another 3rd Div club. Those,like O9,for example,may feel they can grow into the league above and will want a new deal.

Aye well we have option on another year with 09 so he be here.Id still be happier if they knew a bonus would be paid at end of season,rather than just p45s.

Oh he was expected on here to make a statement constantly. I remember the countless "the silence is deafening" threads everytime the least bit thing happened within the club

CM already did an interview on it. I'm not sure why they would release anything else?

What is it that you think would inspire the players?

Why would the owners of the club saying its really important to go up create a surge in the fans?

We did the shit or bust thing last January, folks got on board I think. It was rubbish and the last thing needed.

To be fair mind it was proof of his continuous lying. As he derails pretty much every thread on here, you’d have thought it was of interest. He’s not a Sunderland Irish fan, but ok, let him just carry on ruining the board with whatever dull agenda he has.

I’ve stuck him on ignore as can’t be arsed with his continuous drivel. Job done for me
