Significant investment by FPP has been made

ive mentioned this before and people have said what im pointing aout may not fit the definiotn of corruption, which is fair enough, but it certainly was bad for the club.
some scouts were choosing to watch games further away from where they were based, as they got paid moe for doing it, this meant they saw a lot of the wrong playwrs, or didnt watch players on their patch who were actually good enough..

any evidence we ddidnt use those?

thanks for the reply 👍

Exactly. It is highly unlikely that FPP have randomly decided to give us a loan, want it repaid with interest and then want to walk away. The intent is obviously there to get on board as shareholders eventually. The fact they're earmarking the loan to be spent on things that will give a long term benefit further strengthens that, if it was just a loan to be repaid they wouldn't care what it was spent on, they'd only want the repayment.

We just need to see this as a major positive, a big chance, and accept that we likely won't hear more until the end of the season at the earliest. It sounds like we've got major players invested in the club, it sounds like they've got the right idea in terms of getting recruitment and the academy right, it sounds like they're on board with the idea of sustainability which I've always agreed with and which makes them very good potential shareholders, the loan isn't creating a debt for SAFC, we've just got to trust the owners now and let them crack on. All we can do to help is get behind them all and give as much support as possible at the games

Exactly- like they xould be arsed with all that- when we hit the premier you’ll see big changes i think and by then stage 2 developments will be bearing fruit- you cant do a dortmund without elite academy and stadium etc

Not a clue but that is from players- Ex players still at or were at the club until recently.
so we re to believe that and not the evidence of the tv show or the embittered angry comments from neale mcdermott? who was sacked by these guys.
people whine about cotons CV and qualifications for thew job...they should see neale mxdwermotts! never worked at a club prior to safc or since..https://www.linkedin.com/in/neale-mcdermott-04844138/

That's a downside? 😉 😉 😉
Something does not sit quite right with this investment mind... from experience as you will know, to me this seems either like a bridging loan arrangement or a facility for cash draw down as required... I 'd like to know exactly what collateral Stewie and Meths have put up if as they say its an investment in Madrox?

Spot on mate... agree 100%.

the collateral will be there shares in SAFC i guess..
there personla shares..so not secured aginst the club's assets but against their own..seems like a standard covertible loan arrangement to me..

I have no idea. If the plan is for capital investment at a later stage, some sort of convertible loan or preference shares would achieve that efficiently. To date, there have been no filings at Madrox, so there's no evidence of a secured loan or any kind of share issue there. The tidying up of the capital in Sunderland and SAFC (reducing the share capital and cancelling the share premium account) will have the effect of clearing the deficit on retained earnings, and allowing the possibility of dividend payments in future (although only if the club is profitable); this would be essential if preference shares are planned at any stage.

Well done mate, you’re on it as usual!

All of the investment flied seems to be in Sunderland Ltd.. I understand that Madrox will have to file for acceptance of any investment into them but I cant see any transfer of funds or resolutions to Sunderland Ltd that would suggest they have done this . Maybe they are just late filing the resolution to do so.

Any transfer from Madrox into Sunderland will be a simple clearance of the balance owed by them to SAFC or, if that has already been repaid, an unsecured shareholder loan. Neither of those require any filings.
