why would you be told about this latest deal?
its nowt to do with safc...the americans have invested into madrox..safcshares dot change hands and safc isnt in debt as a result?
this deal doesnt change the equity value of the club, or pass comment on it..really we wont know the full pictre untilhe accous are released showing how much SD CM AND JS have put in both prior to this deal and afterwards..
They don’t have to tell us anything, however when they came in on the back of openness and transparency it certainly feels there has been a rolling back of that.
I’d like to know about the deal because I’d be amazed if it didn’t have implications for the club ownership in some way, maybe in the future and not now but still it could definitely be significant.

of course it will have implications in future..but they only have to announce that if it happens..right now its a deal betwene two companies that arent safc..and with no liability to safc..that is..safc isnt locked into anyting in future..if it was then transparency would be nescessary

This. If it is indeed the first step of many to lay the foundations for a brighter future, what is to be gained by shrouding it in secrecy. It would give us all a lift to know the master plan, and I don’t see a good reason for not telling.

were they the corrupt incompetents that were here before coton?
or the ones that thought lee camp and jason steele are goalkeeperrs?
thats thestandard of scout that was at safc beforehand.

My favourite was the recruitment bloke on the first series of STID who suggested that we might want to consider Ibrahimovic up front. I hope he's still here just for the crack

That only holds water if Madrox are going to invest the money in a non-Safc enterprise.

The company they have the arrangement with owns SAFC and that’s it so the two are definitely linked.
As I said they have no obligation to tell us anything but it goes against the openness and transparency they espoused when they came in.

That’s got to be a bit of a concern if this was a great deal that massively benefits the club why the secrecy?
That could be the eternal pessimist in me.

the point im maing is..it doesnt have to affect safc yet..
if this deal meant something was happening, or had to happen, to safc in future,..then we would need answer..but thats not the case..SD could simply pay the £10m baxck ina few years and nothing affects safc long term..they will have to file stuff legally soon..that will evela plenty..
amercian private equity guys dont usually like publicity..

well of course..but whaT i mean is, no obligatins are created for safc by this...they cant really say how this willaffect safc in future because there is no way it has to affect it..
the key questions are does it change the ownership, mnagemtn or control of safc..its doesnt and doesnt have to..
does it create a debt or obligation onto safc..it diesnt.

That’s all speculation on your part though. I have seen it speculated in other posts (by you I think) that this loan could convert into shares in the club in the future.
If it’s simply a loan that needs to be paid back then it’s not really good news for the club other than maybe a cash flow benefit.

I also think that by keeping our cards close to our chest we reduce the risk of having our eyes taken out over potential future transfer fees. I think that’s part and parcel of the statement relating to the cash injection being earmarked for long term strategies such as academy and scouting. If we go shouting about all the money we might have, selling clubs will double their asking prices.

I'd assume it's a loan that can be paid off either by repaying the cash (plus interest) or in shares, rather than it being set in stone that it's one or the other.

but its not a loan to the club..so its irelevant to the club..in that sense..safc does not owe the money to anyone..safc assets are not sexcured against the loan..so there is no downside to safc for this loan..
the only downside is to the current owners..who would have to pay it back..

aye but mate tony coton and richard hill are shit like, and cheap options and it was much better before..

The whole scene was hilarious. It was like watching a group of men pretending to like football to impress their boss.

If Bain had suggested getting some food delivered that bloke would probably have thought it was a realistic suggestion that they could get Margot Robbie to deliver it naked and let them eat it out of her arse. Ibrahimovic up front when we haven't got two pennies to rub together man, mint!

I sometimes worry about your thought processes GG. How football scouting and transfer targets can be associated with the delightful Ms Robbies arse within the same sentence is quite the trick.

So because they used to he shite should we be happy that's it been nigh on non existent for over a year?

I've yet to see one convincing argument for cutting the scouting back to such a low level.
because it takes time to hire good people..we had a few scouts last year..probably more than some league one clubs..

I’d not have been surprised if they suggested Ben Stokes as they desperately tried to remember the names of footballers they once heard of.

can you expand on the corrupt claim please ? obviously without slandering anyone
ive mentioned this before and people have said what im pointing aout may not fit the definiotn of corruption, which is fair enough, but it certainly was bad for the club.
some scouts were choosing to watch games further away from where they were based, as they got paid moe for doing it, this meant they saw a lot of the wrong playwrs, or didnt watch players on their patch who were actually good enough..
Freelance ones
any evidence we ddidnt use those?
