Yep.

Top n bottom is he doesn't want to let go.

That's not me being critical of him by the way - just how I see it.
I agree and if it was a takeover the yanks would have to put someone in to run the club, this could be a way of SD showing them he is the person to do this and if he proves that the investment has been used wisely and the club are moving in the right direction they may do the full takeover and be happy for him to remain in charge (CEO/Chairman) role

In the early stages of when we became aware of this he did mention a takeover iirc. However, subsequently I don't think he said it again.....it was always investment.

They won't identify them themselves......they've had advice all the way through this.
are the advisers any good?
Charlton are in the Championship are doing rather well. We're in League One.

Some from the club in fairness. Borussia Dortmund model, we paid ES ยฃ40m and we are the most professional club in League One history.
we probably have more staff in professional roles than any other club in (recent) history..that doesnt follow we are the most prfessionally run, as they may not be good at their jobs.

we have more staff than most prem clubs when ellis was around.but were not by any means among the most professiona;ly run..

And we might be the most professional club in league 1 history, you have no idea if we are or not

I don't know mate.......common sense tells me FPP are very intelligent and shrewd people who will have had advice from those who understand English football........how could they have entertained this,or any other, deal if not? They don't have any experience of it themselves.

So,returning to the point, are we agreed that if they want to appoint management to the club,in whatever capacity, they will have had some advice about it?

they can find some advice about it yes. i mean on the business side they can find loads..my point is, we shouldnt assume they know people to give them football advice that are beter than those we have now.
We aren't. Do you think we are as professional as Leicester, Southampton and Norwich were when they were here? We have 1 scout!
we have more than one scout. people on here simultanously believe richard hill is involved with recruitment but that we only have one scout...baffling.
did those clubs have sports scientists and a category one academy?
Donald has mentioned a takeover.
Someone from the club has told them or do you think they made it up?
no i think things change..the yanks might have gone in wanting a takeover and then changed their mind to this thing..

Sorry like but if you think 2 fanzines were told the exact same thing and it didn't come from the club then you're very naive.
from the club is not the same as from the owners...
the fanzines presumbly just read this forum as well where the exact phrase..richest club in the world was used..
