Donald has mentioned a takeover.
Someone from the club has told them or do you think they made it up?

In the early stages of when we became aware of this he did mention a takeover iirc. However, subsequently I don't think he said it again.....it was always investment.
and what qualifies the yanks to identify such people?

They won't identify them themselves......they've had advice all the way through this.

I don't know who said what, but this feels like the kid that was promised a new bike for Christmas and woke up Christmas morning to find his present was a puncture repair kit,

He certainly mentioned something about not knowing if the interested parties wanting him and Charlie to be involved which implied that a takeover could be on the table.
And there's no problem with that. Why they're now saying it was always just investment is a bit misleading. It's done now though. Hopefully they'll make better decisions than they have over the last year and a bit

It's good news, Nee doubt about that. There is though a feeling of it being a bit of anti climax

And a great job he is doing according to Charlie.

I dinnar. Yet again it's a case of suck it and see. New manager, ok. Fresh money coming in, great. New people, fresh ideas? Rome wasn't built in a day as they say. Mind they never got turned ower by Wycombe Wanderers neither.
The away form as a whole is a huge worry.

I can remember SD saying that there was interest from lots of parties with different models and they had to find the right fit for SAFC which may or may not involve him moving on.
As far as I can see, the new investment does not preclude future ownership by the investors.

Top n bottom is he doesn't want to let go.

That's not me being critical of him by the way - just how I see it.

Thats the hope, we've got them investing do hopefully they take the next step and a takeover can happen.

He said it at the consett talk in, even mentioned he didn't know if him and Charlie would be involved. I'm not knocking him for it mind. Just pointing out he's said.

Yes,he did. However,it may have been it was being mooted still at that point, and maybe subsequently another approach was taken. Even if not,SD wouldn't be the first person to describe one thing as another similarly related, without really realising that his words may put an entirely different connotation to it. It shouldn't happen, but sometimes it does. His point about not knowing if he and CM would still be involved may have been related to terms of their employment hinging on the deal, rather than the exact nature of the deal.
Fuck.....I'm tired of all this guesswork and endless speculation.......think I'm just going to have to wait to see what it all really means.;)

This! Here’s the keys. You’re choice, Rolls Royce or Seat. Seat.Good luck in playing for Charlton and Barnsley
Charlton are in the Championship are doing rather well. We're in League One.
There’s been a lot of stuff made up over the last couple of mths
Some from the club in fairness. Borussia Dortmund model, we paid ES £40m and we are the most professional club in League One history.
