I'm quite curious about this (as one of the 16% of cricket fans who are open minded about it).Within a few years I think this will be a major night in the cricketing calendar.

A lot of players sweating over watching it I'm sure as there's some big coin to be had. Mark Wood will be an interesting one - he's put himself in at £60k but with his injury record it'd be a brave move paying it.

His it going to work then?
These franchises been given a budget to buy a squad for the competition?
Wheres the budget from, what detriment is it going to have on the 3 current formats the counties play?

Seems a load of shit

They're all allowed X amount of players at £125k, X at £75k, X at £60k etc so they all spend the same amount.

I thought the whole idea was that it'd be on free to view channels to get cricket a wider audience. Yet the preview or whatever you want to call it, is on sky...

Won't be watching.

Granted I'm coming at this from a point of relevant ignorance but this whole set up feels like Sky trying to turn cricket into a TV programme. They've succeeded in doing that with football and now it's cricket's turn.

Just tuned in, seems very forced so far
