But the quality of our squad was used by many as a stick to beat Ross with, and I suspect will still be used against Parkinson. As it was with Grayson and Coleman when our squad was blatantly terrible even for the Championship. Someone will be along in a minute to tell you about our internationals, former captains, former players promoted from this league and former regular goalscorers at this level, not bothering to notice how poor they play on a regular basis.

I'm not going to argue our squad is good enough to thrash this division, but they are under performing.

Two things you can spot as SAFC fan is "a promotion chasing side" and a relegation threatened side". And this team do not have the energy levels, confidence, faith in their team mates and determination to get a result of the former.
And they didn't show it last season either.

I'm not saying they should be world beaters, and I'm not saying that there aren't glaringly obvious gaps in the team, but I will argue that those players should be at least looking as if the result matters to them. Those players look as apathetic and lacking in belief as any I've seen in a SAFC shirt - and I was there watching Mick Buxton's reign.

It isn't good enough to just say 'the quality isn't there', when clearly the effort by players who have achieved so much more in the past isn't there also.

Would like to see Benji get a look in. He’s got pace and could inject some energy even if he’s coming off the bench. I know Donald has banned his involvement but it’s worth a go
And Mumba

The manager situation is what it is. However, just stupid to blame the manager as he has 1 training session with them.

We do need to see some big improvements in coming weeks though.

We appretiate th players arent world beaters but they need a massive fcking rocket up their arse. They need to be fitter and put a hell of a lot more effort in for starters.

People can whinge about Wycombe time-wasting etc but at the end of the day we only created 2 chances in 98 mins. Pure shite.
Very true , ball was only play 8 mins of the 98 though .
There time wasting was disgusting as was our football.
Played right into there hands again.

Far too much misplaced anger on here. We aren't very good and only the current manager can do anything about it. We were beaten by one of the better teams in the league, why would we expect better? Get behind the manager and see if we can lift the players. They are all we have got. Negativity at games is shooting ourselves in the foot.

Being shite is shooting ourselves In the foot. Softest team in the league.

Never used my opinion of the players to defend Ross, but the opinion that our players are superior to others in this league doesn’t hold water for me. We’ve added players from this level to players who proved they weren’t anywhere near good enough for the level above. Recruitment has been our biggest failing.

Still, it was nice to see Grigg out for his afternoon stroll.
