Phil Parkinson

I agree Wigan fans arent huge fans but his record is still probably better than Parkinson's and at least they played some good football in league 1. Plus he managed to get a tune out of Power and Grigg.

Yes fair point.
Stinks of a cheap option, either go all out and get Pearson/Stendel or we may as well have kept Ross.

Be in this league a few years by the look of things, so aye I'm gutted. That ok?

Gutted by the shite that led to where we are. Yeah me too.
Gutted by a possible appointment of Phil Parkinson? Not really. Not excited either though.

If you look at his record it's not awe inspiring but he's made a decent fist with some difficult jobs.

My biggest concern is if the rumours are true and we appoint him until the end of the season. We need someone to be accountable for the summer recruitment. To plan who is staying and who is going in terms of contracts.

His experience at Bolton suggests he's a good crisis manager. At some point it would be nice to be a club out if crisis.

If it's a 7 month appointment the players will just take the piss oot of him, the board doesn't believe in him, why should they?

I'm as frustrated as the next fan that their isn't a takeover and any potential investment will not come until next season (if we're promoted). I wasn't expecting anyone who'd make people get excited tbh. We have to give Parkinson a chance, as we wouldn't have even made the play offs under Ross imho. Nowt to lose here, he might even do well
