Would be underwhelmed by parkinson. Not a convincing appointment. I hope if they are bringing him in its purely to get us out of League one. His overall record is a mixed bag but he's got promotion from this league on more than one occasion.

I fear Donald wouldn't be ruthless enough to dismiss him at the end of the season, even if he scrapes promotion.

Ross wanted the job and convinced Stewart Donald that his style of football would excite the fans. I think a lot of people were looking forward to a new exciting era, only to be very soon disappointed despite two Wembley appearances. Will Donald make the same mistake?
 
It’ll be whoever the cheapest option is! They are desperate for investment and they don’t have the finances to take us forward, all the bluff from the off about our finances being healthy and we can afford to keep our high earners, bullshit, they’ve high earners all gone or refinanced a new contract and cheap lesser quality players replacing them! Wait until they file the accounts and see how healthy we are financially then!

The "hints" weren't ever "hints", it was just folks on here, RR and ALS putting 2 and 2 together to make 50,000,000,000.

You're aware of the League 1 financial rules, right?

Your wage bill can't be more than 60% of your turnover iirc. Last year we had more coming in from parachute payments than this year so we were always going to have to reduce our wage bill this season regardless of how rich our owners were.

Certainly am but listen to what the owners have spouted time and time again! There is no money, they can’t afford to finance the club by themselves!!

They've said they will looking to bring in investment for when we're in the Championship to get us into the Premier League but they've got the finances to get us out of League 1.

By making us a sustainable project instead of spunking money up the wall, it makes us a more viable prospect for potential investors.

It is absolutely essential that the next appointment finds a way to get the team creating a higher number of better quality chances. We simply aren’t going up without it. Nothing from Parkinson’s career to date suggests that he’s the man to do that. We are a badly run club.
