Our owners and recruitment

If it's renowned anti-football Parkinson, just when they know that everyone thought Ross was too negative, want to see us have a go, and could do with a lift, then they'll really have to hope it works out. Another poor decision will convince a lot of people that they need to go. Obviously their decision, I'll support whoever it is, but after Ross, the recruitment team being a bit shit and us not going up last season they're looking decidedly average/ poor on the football side of things. This manager needs to do the business for them
100% agreed this has disaster written all over it before it even starts but if it is him I will get behind him and hope he can deliver us what we need and that is promotion this season

It's looking more and more like Parkinson which would be an horrendous appointment.

Why horrendous?

Perhaps not a "glamour" pick, and not exactly known for front foot football. But we are League One club, hoping to get up. He has managed this before. It's not horrendous if it's him. Not my pick either, but if we don't have much cash, and will have less next season, then a bloke like him is what we'll need and perhaps as good as we can expect . Managers are like players; when they can they do what's best for them.

Won't know whether it's a horrible appointment or not until the new man is given adequate time to prove how shite he is!!

I'm sorry but it would be horrendous, yes there isn't a load of obvious candidates but there are better options than Parkinson ffs

Dull, boring appointment.

It's a huge risk mate. If it goes right then fair enough, they'll get praise. But if this goes wrong then they will be absolutely hammered for going for what looks like the cheap option, for seemingly advocating a continuation of the shit, defensive football we've been producing, and if it doesn't work you could see season card numbers falling, people won't keep turning up to watch boring football in league one (I'll renew like, so will many others, but I'd bet there's a canny drop). If they'd gone for Stendel or Pearson and it didn't work at least you'd think they'd had a go. If it's temporary until the end of the season you'd hope there's still investment coming, but him on a permanent? Like I say I'd support him but it would be a strange decision and they can't afford to keep getting decisions wrong

I have a feeling it will only be a short term contract until the end of the season.

Just like all the players we signed last season, meaning that if we don’t go up, we have to replace half the squad and the manager but we won’t have the parachute money to help pay for it.

I think all of us who go to the games want especially our home games is a manager who just goes for it instead of cagey boring negative shite.

We are at home playing in front of 30000 most weeks we should be bossing games ffs
