Exactly - a few people have heard the same so are posting in good faith. It's sharing info, not trying to cause aggro or attention seek. It's just not the news the vast majority (barring some lunatics) want to hear. I hope to fuck its bad info and we can just sail on into a new glorious age but it's worth letting people know if it's been said. Fingers crossed it's a load of shite.

I'm not sure it matters, to be honest. Its something that has been said and someone who isn't on a wind up has repeated it.

It's odd to me that those complaining about naysayers and apparent abuse given out to Reiver and co are those that are dishing out actual abuse and naysaying because its not something they want to hear.
 
Seems the general feel is that it isnt happening. Few people have heard the same (that its off) :( ALS are gonna look so daft for printing them T Shirts.
 
Riv is saying its way to far down the line for it not to happen. I would believe him who has already got details right over a bloke who got a text that even he thinks might be bullshit

Add to that a local journalist who is known for loving pissing on our chips said last night its still on track

People seem f***ing desperate to jump on the negative side of anything to do with this takeover (what a f***ing massive shock)

For the umpteenth time man, as has been pointed out by those with experience of this sort of thing, there's no set timetable for this sort of deal.

Stewart Donald's comments following the Consett talk in were clearly just a holding statement and it's ridiculous to start a countdown based upon his understandably vague assurances.

The problem is that people's expectations have been raised by comments and speculation from certain individuals with apparent inside information.

Similarly all it takes is one unattributed message of doom and gloom to send some on here into a meltdown.

Until there's an official announcement from the club, from my 15 year's experience of this board and its members, the sensible approach is to assume nobody knows anything.

Apropos nowt much at all, this is a nightmare scenario for alleged ITKs, so stand by for panic fuelled over reach.
