There is no point trying to argue, that is not a red. Like people arguing, Mané shouldn't have had a red for kicking Ederson in the face. The "he went for the ball"-argumentation and similar approaches doesn't really cut it.

No I’ve watched it back and it’s clumsy, mistimed and possibly a tad high, but I’d describe it more as a full blooded challenge gone wrong than anything more malicious. You can often tell by other players reactions. And the nufc players are genuinely shocked at the red card

hes dove in from less than 10 yards away, studs showing to win a 50/50 ball and connected below his knee, irrespective of winning the ball first it was a leg breaker and a mindless tackle to make in the first place.
