Oh absolutely.

But in deals of this sort, new companies etc will be created and deals still not going through at the last minute.

I guess my long winded point is that this isn’t the final step to seal the deal, it’s merely part of the normal process when a transaction of this kind takes place.

MSD people at game gave impression that we were further ahead in discussions than was actually the case. Work ongoing maybe 1/2 weeks. Believes we the fans will be please with what he is pursuing and deal is about the club not him or others. Has asked to stay on as he feel she can add value but should any takeover happen that isn’t his decision.

Genuinely we’ve heard most of the rest of it re scouting set up, Maja, grigg.

Repeating myself here but although no quotes/facts about the takeover I came away feeling positive

When you say work on the deal is ongoing, maybe 1/2 weeks, do you mean it is expected to be concluded in 1/2 weeks?

It’s clearly them. They’ve been at the match with Donald and Methven.

Talks are ongoing and they’ve reach the stage where a new company has been set up.

It’s all positive.

But nothing is over until it’s signed and sealed.

My impression was an outcome in that time.

Scouting wise...he was disappointed with our set up and approach felt he had to strip it back and start again. Now they are starting to rebuild, specifically talked about Scandinavian and German markets as areas we would want to move into

That's what people don't get. Obviously it could still happen but we were lead to believe this was done other than a few minor niggles.

It sounds like it's still ongoing and a lot of work still to be done.

From being lead to believe it was done it's more like 50% done.

So all the other shite about roofs on stadium major money being invested etc was just that made up shite

Nobody’s leading anyone on it might be done but Donald’s not going to say anything until it’s bern agreed to be announced it takes months to buy a house once it’s sild man waiting for paperwork and that imagine how long something like this must take

This is fekking torture !so the stuff that reiver posted about the deal being done is complete and utter bollocks!somebody in that communication chain is a mendacious twat!.........

.lets hope the stories of the plans fo the club are not shite as well!I must admit i am a tad deflated and a little pissedoff .....if this group was going to buy out newcastle for hundreds of millions why are they arguing over a few quid behind the sofa for the sale ao safc.

There is a preverbial rabbit off somewhere .Im calling a damp squibb alert!all the while hoping for the disney version of a happy ending!

Did you get any impression that donald knows of the wild stories going on about the takeover and might realise he might have to let the fans down gently as its the hope that gets you at the end!
 
Iv'e always had doubts about Donald and Methven, especially Methven who has in my opinion acted like one of the lads just to ingratiate the fans and flatter them.
He is no more one of us than Bojo or Donald Trump
They have up to now just been the acceptable face of a Martin Bain with their cost cutting and pruning shears used to make the club more financially attractive for short term financial gain and turn around while acting as if they were giving the club back to the fans.
The club in reality has cost them very little personally and if either of them can get a quid more by selling to buyers such as the Venky chicken men they probably would.
No one with any real financial clout will buy the club unless they have ultimate control.
I cannot see the Americans putting up with anything less.
Donald and Methven may have dabbled with Eastleigh and Oxford but with little success
Success in any walk of life cannot be guaranteed but when the club is sold as it will be I would want the new owners to be in the best financial position possible to at least give it a chance to progress.
I would like to think that Donald and Methven's considerations go further than the size of their wallets but unfortunately this world life by and large isn't like that.
Cynically most things financially revolve around "me me scenarios"
I do hope things turn out OK however ,starting on the field of play tomorrow
 
As has been said many times, the TERMS OF THE DEAL are possibly DONE. For sake of argument let's say its agreed as £50m , paid up front, job done subject to DD findings.

But what's not agreed is SD and Charlie roles, and the futures of some staff and they are refusing to divulge those bits which is leaving everything slightly awkward in the workplace.

It sounds to me like its done as far as SD can do any more about it. Everyone at club is just waiting for it to happen, but they are reviewing, thinking, asking more questions, pondering, asking more questions and generally not sealing the deal.

Hence why SD is "very hopeful", but he cant possibly do anymore. They are effectively pissing him and the whole club about while having all the aces. He could tell them to do one, but knows its fantastic for the club so is going along with it for now.

That's me putting the various snippets together.

Theres plenty finding solace in a brochure drawn up to suggest an equally incredible takeover happening at the bigger neighbours down the road
 
Glad I am able to take things like this in my stride. If it happens it happens, if not, ah well.
