I can confirm he Didn’t say it ‘was 50/50’ at all he said it was more than that and my reading of his body language was that it was positive.....bottom line is he wasn’t going to say anything tonight and nor should he.

For what’s its worth I feel pretty positive about it all, no words, no facts just a feeling from hearing him and seeing him speak
He obviously couldn't say much tonight. I reckon all signs still point to a takeover, hopefully it will be done soon.

No - Staveley set up a company called Cantervale when she was rumoured to be taking it over but that was actually just another trading company. It’s trading now - just coincidence that she incorporated a new company when she was rumoured to be involved with the mags.

The Sheikh did too

Hypothetically, if we had a billion quid burning a hole in our pocket would it make sense to announce it in a club in Consett? Would it make sense to even announce it at all? We paid over the odds for Grigg for Christ's sake.

In my opinion this is probably happening. It's why it hasn't been officially denied. They leaked before the transfer window to calm the nerves. They are now lowering expectations because it makes business sense. The less arsed the investors look the better it will be once they are in a position to invest.

They didn’t register at St James Park though, did they.

Why would that matter? Given they don’t own the ground I would have thought there would have been legal reasons around it.

Just cause a company has been registered isn’t indicative of a deal being imminent.

It's a takeover though, not a small stakeholder coming in to provide some investment.

What was said about other buyers?

My own view is that this has been blown out of proportion. He was talking about us being an attractive proposition due to how well we are now run off the pitch and that other investors had been interested which he, and others, didn’t feel were right for the club and that he felt that other investors could be attracted.

Didn’t get the impression at all that this was about other investors being interested right now.

Other parties comment suggest we aren't being taken over at all.

Why even mention other party's?

Clearly nobody near buying us and as expected the Dell interest was too good to be true.

Reiver shown to be full of shite

They can’t just set a company up at the Stadium of Light without there being a very high prospect of the takeover going ahead. Do you think they were hoping the club wouldn’t notice or something?

High prospect isn’t a done deal marra.
That’s my point.

Reiv over the road is now saying that the Yanks aren’t there tomorrow.

Backtracking ongoing.

Ah, well that’s a completely different context then isn’t it. Thanks for the info.

Is it just me or do those 2 lines contradict what you are trying to say? genuine question.

How come genuine posts like this from people who were there aren’t getting much response, yet someone purposely posting shite (imo) earlier on has some being negative again and thinking its all off.

relax and just let it happen, if it takes another couple of weeks so be it
