i used to take his stuff on face value but he is coming across as an ego driven blowhard who happens to have the odd snippet of itk info and uses that to play king of the castle ........ive heard hes a great safc fan and nice fella who help folk out for ticket.........shame about his fragile ego and inability to respond to critique without abuse!

Other than that i like him!
It's a shame that people are having a go at him while he is not able to defend himself

All sounds a bit odd tbh. If they announce it before the talk in he won't need to be asked and give answers about it, which suggests it isn't happening imminently. Equally though, he's hardly likely to announce its gone through at a random talk in. Sounds a bit like it'll just be a "things are progressing, wait and see" type update, which in turn would suggest it's not massively near to completion. Probably reading too much into it like, just seems strange
Divvent be daft lad. IF it's announced before the talk in there'll be PLENTY of questions. "Why did it take so long?" "How rich are we?" "When we signing Messi?" "Will the monorail be going all the way to Durham?" yada, yada, You know this lot......

I really do think the timing of the news of the Newcastle Takeover is dirty tactics propoganda at its highest level. Sunderland are immenently going to become one of the richest owned clubs in world football and stories have came out that Dell and co. Were on the cusp of buying Newcastle (allegedly) before a mysterious Arab put in a higher offer! Newcastle have just had their lowest attendance in 10 years so the timing of this stinks to high heaven (this is simply just to appease them lot up the road and get them to go out and buy peter kenyon face masks and memrobilia in the short term while our takeover is announced and settles down)
Or is he putting it out there that they're available on the cheap, desperation?

This one?

Although, the offer to buy Newcastle is said to only stand at £125million now with further payments taking the deal up to £300million.

PURCHASE PRICE: £300 million payable as follows:
• £125 million upfront payment payable upon transaction close
• £175 million 3-year seller note earning 3% interest payable annually
Transaction to be structured on a cash and debt-free basis

It's a crowdfunding bid isn't it?:lol: So it's a partial payment of £125m and 3% interest oin the rest over 3 years plus they want to buy it debt free so that means Ashley is only going to get around £60m now given NUFC owe him £111m?

Ah bless them, a desperate attempt to raise their spirits. Nothing at all to do with the potential timing of our takeover clearly, but even then they’ve fucked it up. Splendid.

The black and white flash was shown again in the late 70s and/or early 80s. Sparks out of the back of the space craft, a lot of desert scenes iirc.

It was quite good as our grandad remembered it from when he was younger. My parents would go to the ‘tiv’ (Tivoli?) at Herrington burn in the 40s/50s.
Yeah remember that in the 80s my mates Mam worked at concord and I can’t remember paying to get in.

its timing is interesting... should safc be sold soon, the inevitable misspelled bedsheet tsunami will follow, so be that as it may a prespective buyer who is savvy re local football matters, might just think that ashley might see this as tempting. dont know what fat mike wants these days iirc the last figure was circa £350m+

or it could be spin

They'd moved onto the technicoloured Flesh Gordon when I was a kid.
