Sounds like no announcement is upcoming then. All he can update is to say it’s on course or it’s off. Unless they decide to just have him announce it at a random talk in.

All sounds a bit odd tbh. If they announce it before the talk in he won't need to be asked and give answers about it, which suggests it isn't happening imminently. Equally though, he's hardly likely to announce its gone through at a random talk in. Sounds a bit like it'll just be a "things are progressing, wait and see" type update, which in turn would suggest it's not massively near to completion. Probably reading too much into it like, just seems strange
 
There was a newspaper quoted on the original thread who said in early September that it would be ‘by end of month - that was the aim’. It turns out they were the only ones properly itk, despite being roundly rejected at the time....

Everyone else has little snippets of truth I reckon inter woven with hope and personal opinion.
 
This may already have been mentioned, there's too many pages to go back through, but they were discussing the take over during Radio 5's interview with Power last night. He said, jokingly, that the players were aware of it and were looking forward to requesting a play rise when they are playing for the richest club in the world.

This is Donald though - he could say virtually nothing we don’t already know. I’d imagine that it will be nothing more than a “near completion and that’s all I can say” type thing unless it does get announced tomorrow. It’s the first time he’s openly broached the topic on there so it will be close now.

Yeah surely it must be just about done oe he'd have said its off on twitter or delayed the talk in or at least said "sensitive matter so cant talk about it"

Or it could be announced and SD answers questions on about how it came about etc etc

Probably right. Although if it's just a stock reply like that you wonder why doesn't just tweet it! Like I say though, can't think what else he can really say about it at this stage; if it was ready to be announced it wouldn't be done at a talk in, he wouldn't keep people in suspense if it had fallen through (which would be the other reason why he can suddenly comment!), so it must just be "positive but progressing" at best, just seems odd holding that back for a talk in!
