Somerset 9 down, Harmer bowling, Essex in with a great chance to keep them below 200..

And no slip, no gully?

Am I missing something?

So frustrating. The last wicket partnership had made things very interesting and then the sodding rain arrives just in time for tea. 200 looks a decent score in those conditions.

Appears I'm one of the few who is glad the title is going to Essex!

Whoever wins it deserves it and I’ll still be able to take a small perverse pleasure from Somerset STILL never having won it, when we’ve got 3 crowns

Not over yet though and I’m rooting for the Cidermen to get over the line.

Almost impossible unless they can bowl them out for 53.

Third day washed out. Forecast of light but persistent rain until lunch tomorrow. I'm not sure Essex would've wanted to win the title this way, but credit to them for plugging away and staying with the pace, as contender after contender fell away from Somerset.
Only 10 overs possible before lunch. 11 runs scored, only 1 wicket taken. Just running out the clock now. I do feel for Somerset. They seem somehow destined never to land the big one.

Essex 9 down. Somerset need 11 wickets in around 16 overs!
Essex all out. 10 wickets needed in just over a hour.
