Just needs sorting either way now mate, think with stories getting leaked early, it's caused fans to get a jittery when it probably for it to take this long.

Everyone is just desperate for some positive news.
The stories were bound to leak when the new potential owners turned up at the match.

This. Very f***ing worrying if it doesnt come off

Dont even wanna really think about it
People need to calm down, if it doesn’t happen then it doesn’t happen, the current owners have the finance for this league and to keep us in championship it’s further investment for getting to the top of championship upwards that they said from the start they haven’t got. If something went wrong all of a sudden with this takeover there will be other interested parties

On what do you base that other than the current owners saying it? Cos its not in line with reality

I think we’ll be looking at a serious period of stagnation, turgid football and hopelessness not experienced since Crosby, Butcher and Buxton days. There’s no new stadium on the horizon this time and the finances involved in the game means it’d be far more difficult for us to be promoted back to the top flight than it was back in the early to mid 90s.

Well that’s cheered me up no end.

Have they? Is there much evidence for this? We’ve reduced the quality of our squad in order to reduce costs despite the owners saying they didn’t have to do so. We barely spent anything this summer and now have a squad that is struggling to be consistent in the third tier.

I aim to please

Did we not do this due to FFP?

Let's get a grip though - still in the playoffs and very close to an automatic promotion spot.

nothing I said there suggests I don’t have a grip. We have a squad who are struggling to be consistent; it’s been that way since April. That’s just how it is.

we were told by Donald that we didn’t have to.

I think this is a very naive view, sorry. The current owners don't have the cash to survive next season without promotion or investment.

If people with a lot of cushion to absorb potential problems were to be walking away from deals at this stage, then those with less money are far less likely to take us on. We are a risky investment.

If it doesn’t happen then we’ve blown our big chance, it will be a tragedy if this doesn’t come off.

Personally I’m getting less and less confident as the days go on. Surely it has to be this week or next (or the next or the next).

Nor, it's 'cos we've not gotta tuppence ha'penny to rub together.
