SAFC Takeover Latest

As long as this takeover goes through I’ll not be too worried spending another season down here. It’s been mainly one disappointment after another since I started in 1979 so what’s one more season of rolling around in shite in the grand scheme of things?
This time season ticket sales will be halved. It’s September and I know so many people who are going as a chore and regret getting a season ticket. We get taken for granted though, you can’t rely on getting 30K every match in league one.

Think most of the team realise when the take over goes ahead they won't be here next season.
I speculated that on Saturday as for the first time under Ross there was a clear lack of application from the players. Maybe they know the manager is going, who knows, but something has to give. Everything about this club is unstable and amateurish yet, can see a lot of people calling it a day before long.

Just what I thought watching them. Players ambling around looking unconcerned. I know it's been like this for most of the season but Saturday really hit home.

Americans are about solutions, not problems. They want to implement solutions to historic problems before the announcement. More explicitly, if there's to be a media event, they don't want anyone at it who's going to be history a few days later. To be honest, I think that they should just scrub any media event, simply say they've bought the shares and crack on with what looks like being a purge of epic proportions.
Although the delay is frustrating I find it reassuring that they are being so thorough, it’s exactly what’s needed. In the long term this should result in the club being better ran from top to bottom. Hopefully the days of people stealing a living from the club will be over.

They’ve been coming in for weeks, it’s getting tedious now. Crowds will be down to sub 15K next season given how shit the football is, the club will be struggling massively then. Right now the supporters are getting taken for granted, 29K for a midweek league one game is freakish and far from the norm. It’s not going to last. The football is soul destroying.
1. We won't go down to 15k.
2. Takeovers are not simple things. We perhaps heard rumours and whispers too early and while a deal will happen there were/are obviously still things to sort out.
3. We won't have Ross next year if we don't go up (hopefully be gone sooner rather than later) - so the football will hopefully be better.
4. The takeover and/or new manager will have given us all renewed hope in this division or the Championship so attendances won't drop by much, if at all - we're down to pretty much the hard core supporters now.

In short, calm down mate. Things will change one way or another, but nee way will we be down to 15k crowds - there's always just enough hope on the horizon

Not sue about halved but I agree significant numbers would think twice about renewing for another season in L1.
Last season was something of a novelty but the novelty has certainly worn off.

Scouting Zlatan and sending the first team squad to NYC for warm weather training while making dozens of employees redundant. If Homer Simpson ran a football club.....

A snow bound New York in February where they were only able to ride bikes through Central Park and watch the Basketball.

I totally agree, If this takeover doesn’t go through they’re fucked like. If they’re dragging their heels over keeping their cushy jobs or more money or whatever’s stalling this deal I suggest they get their arses into gear because they’ll get a f***ing big shock next season if nowt changes.
