They could announce something before getting all their ducks in a row, but aren't. Reiver's more unhappy with the turmoil that's resulting from the radio silence than anything else. Or. as he put it to me, the delay in announcing is now causing more problems than the original reasons for the delay, because things are basically in a state of paralysis.

It's going to be RIP a lot of people, but the takeover itself, no.
Yes, the delay will only cause further anxiety amongst supporters especially if financial points (like agents' fees and so on) haven't been ironed out and agreed to.

On the positive side, it shows that the new owners are thorough.

If Carlsberg did takeovers....

Does it? Thought all of the skeletons were oot of the cupboard?

Got to say that I really dislike this line about them not lying about needing investment. There is absolutely no way that Sunderland afc needed investment to get out of league one. What it needed was a proper plan. If Donald and his regime had made sensible football decisions through his tenure we would have been up without the need for outside help. The fact that we aren’t going up without the intervention of a group of billionaires is a massive mark against his ability to run a football club.

It's nonsense, they spoke about it in the context of having a go at the top half of the premier league, not league one. And then money bags Juan was the answer to that problem.

They weren't skeletons, they were zombies, and SD hadn't killed them as dead as he thought.

Stuck in limbo with everything else, unless the new men tell Donald to pull the trigger.

No surprise - was always a myth that everything was rosey

Donald probably just doesnt want yo pay his contract up when hes selling the club.

It's like the summer business all over again

Sorry but which is it?

We are going to be massively invested in but they are umming and ahhhing about a few contractual obligations?

Let's not forget Moyes resigned with no compensation and the majority of his signings moved on.

Not disputing who Reivers mates with but I'm questioning if they are really that in the loop.
