Ye can hev all the PR in the world but events on the pitch are sucking the Fookin life out of this.....Needs to a happen soon or will lose momentum.....

Plenty of positivity today

Nothing has changed. Stew's still out of his depth, Ross is still Moyes Lite and incredibly wealthy owners are still on course to take over the club.

I'll instantly love the lot of them if they pull this off

So will I, but only if they also leave along with the recruitment staff and the manager and his team as well.

No point coming in and then leaving in place the biggest reasons we’re still in this division.

I am kind of coming round to the idea that, whilst we owe Stewart an awful lot of gratitude for what he has done for the club, is he really the one to take us forward? People quite rightly complain that Ross is not at a level of the club, so how does that not apply to SD? I would never criticise or underestimate what he has done for us, but long term, I’m not so sure, especially since he appears to be happy with the shit churned out, just because we are 5th. Our recruitment policy has revolved around our lack of budget and not what we needed

Long term we are going nowhere. We have no funds.

Worried more like. It has that old familiar smell of fart and no shit: very familiar to every Sunderland supporter, used to having their hopes dashed. I refuse to get excited at all until an official announcement and I cant help thinking summat is wrong.

There's absolutely no evidence that anything has gone wrong with the deal.

What little information exists in the public domain indicates that talks are at an advanced stage.

Some people are getting nervous simply because a few entirely speculative deadlines have come and gone.

It seems to me the takeover leaked out earlier than anyone involved wanted which has lead to some people panicking as it appears to be dragging on.

Where as realistically you don't buy a football club in a few days, it all takes time and it's only been 4? Weeks since the story broke?

Im confident it will happen soon and I'm hopefully they will come in with a bang and things will start to change quickly for the better

I wonder who could have leaked it. 🤔

The current owners clearly arent the correct leadership though.
Think they've done wonders with club, finances, fan engagement, etc...
But they would never claim to be more than fans on the football side and obviously were need some serious folks brought in there to overhaul that from academy , structure, recruitment to the manager. Ideally a DOF or some such. Wenger-like chap. (Won't be him ofc)

Obviously your opinion but first of all what alternatives WERE ACCEPTABLE TO OUR THEN OWNER, other than SD & Co? You can't disagree that withhout any doubt they have steadied the ship financially AND RID US of many of the high cost burdens we were left with - despite "Ellis Short debt writedown".
The fact their mate from non league runs our recruitment is a worry, as is the continued faith in ross.

They've done some good but ultimately they havebt delivered so far.

He’s potentially fucked the whole thing up.

Don’t think they’ve fucked it up, but they’ve been f***ing stupid firstly in leaking it at all, and then saying that it would be finalised within a fortnight.

I’d like to think our new owners manage to find whoever did leak it and turf them.

I always thought due diligence should take around 6 weeks? My concern at the moment is about the state of in-fighting and abuse being thrown around by fans, Hopefully it won't put them off buying the club. I think we may have a week or two before its all completed.

I think it's a little longer than that but you're right.

There's no set timetable for this sort of transaction.

It's not a git sexy statement but it'll happen when it happens.

I have never been one of the Ross out brigade, but if any Sunderland manager cannot find a way to beat a team of free transfers and loan signings cobbled together in a fortnight then I am sorry he simply has to go. Enough is enough.

Spot on. That team will be lucky to get 20-25 points (forgetting the 12 point deduction).
They were cobbled together in a day and 'refined' in a fortnight yet people still defend Ross as having no money to spend when he has a team that should have gone up last season and a full summer to improve it.

If anything the abuse and in fighting will show them if they get it right how much true support is there and a united fan base can really drive us on.

Most of the abuse comes from the frustration of performances and results in my opinion, just some articulate it better on here and in real life most would be nodding in agreement and 99% of the comments written
