I read they paid over $300m for one of their players"There's a reason they've not invested in a sports franchise before...... how about $1.22bn in the Miami Marlins??![]()

Corrected that for ya.Actually canβt wait until the reality starts to Dawn![]()
If it hadn't been for SD coming in when he did and negotiating a deal to save the club, we could easily have became another Bury. The only things left in the club then would be you and thousands of your long tailed furry mates.

Aye because these stinking rich new owners just stumbled across SAFC and it was nowt to do with how SD and Co. have cleaned things up recently
Aye that livened up a boring Sunday afternoon![]()
Didn't they sell him for 300m? I might have misread mindI read they paid over $300m for one of their players![]()
In a league where the average transfer spend is nothing even spending Β£1m is a lot. I donβt disagree we had to invest further and on a different type of player but it isnβt rubbish to say the budget we had was far more than anyone else.
The bloke from Fulwell 73 says they canβt take credit for the Dell boys but heβd love to think Netflix helped.

WykeI think it is when itβs all on one player like
We only bought bakdwin n o nien as others didnβt we?
Link here for ya.... and how they're 'likely' to run it....No idea who Miami Marlins are and what they spent $1.22bn on. But I'd be happy for them to splash a 1/4 of that here.
The magpie nation would have been celebrating if their deal with the same group had gone through , it was close till Mr Ashley moved the goalposts again ,what a guy to have running your club you deserve each other . Fair chance we could be playing each other next season that would be interesting !Chomp ya fucker
- A set of stars aligned that season in regard to all the "big" clubs being in some form of transition or upheaval that is unlikely to happen again anytime soon.
You mackems really are a blindly optimistic bunch and always go a bit silly whenever anyone from the outside world takes an interest in you but just to dampen your excitement and dreams of imminent glory for a moment, ask yourselves why these billionaire investors have chosen to spend coppers on a cheap purchase rather than a ready made top club ?
The investment needed to get from a squad of players and coaches who wouldn't make Championship reserves to being a successful premier league club is several hundred million so why not just spend it now ?
There's a reason why these people have never invested in sports franchises before and why they've bought a corner shop rather than a top brand.
You're a strangely excitable bunch and moving on from the Don should be viewed as some kind of progress, even if it's little different to the numerous other lower league clubs who have seen investment from various "gazillionaires", but realistically you should probably be concerning yourselves more with what your going to do with your increasingly unpopular manager and a squad who can't put a run together in the third division rather than dreaming about winning the Premier League.- #12127 by

Zilch absolutely zilchIts all Netflix like. SD and Methven did nothing at all since being here to make us attractive to investors
