James Fowler - SAFC Assistant Manager - Gone?

He was f***ing brilliant here. I'd have him back in a heartbeat. He might not have managed in a while, but it's not like he's been out of football, he's been MON's assistant at Ireland and Nottingham Forrest for years. He'll have learned a lot in that time.

No thanks.

I don't dispute he did a great job here. And I really do think I was probably more excited about the future when we had him than at any other time since Reid. But the way he carries on with all his grudges shows, at least for me, that he is unsuited to man management. Some players need an arm round them. Can Keane ever really do this?

He hasn't changed and has actually spent most of the time railing of the little problems with the modern football world rather than pragmatically accepting, as a wannabe manager, he can't do a lot about some of them.

I'd have BSA over him, much more sensible and proven.

Also, might add than anything Keane learnt from MON he should throw in the f***ing bin. He was past it by the time he arrived here, let alone now.

If this was related to the takeover, surely getting rid of the assistant manger wouldn’t be the first priority?
If it’s true think they will all have gone. No point culling the army and leaving the king on the throne. Not that Ross is any kind of King like. Takeover announced very soon and new manager I hope....

Tin hat on but Keane with a director of football would be fine by me. Whether he could work with one is up for debate like but I just think it could help in terms of not wasting money, which Keane was a bit guilty of in the top flight. As a manager though I'd be happy to see him just for the high standards he demands which I imagine would be in line with the owners. He wouldn't be telling us all how mint Rochdale played, he'd be expecting us to win this league at a canter and, along with the boost it would give the support and with a bit of spending in January (sensible and in line with the league one version of FFP) I think he'd do it. Would divide opinion of course

Ther isn't a potential manager out there that wouldn't divide opinion.
