Other teams in this division have shown they can play football, outclassing us at times. It's clearly possible.
It’s a ridiculous argument isn’t it?
“Everyone is shit in this league so we should accept we are too!”

In that case let’s be top of the shit league or do they just draw the league positions out of a hat?

I asked this question yesterday and never got an answer.

Could the lads and lasses who voted in please try.

What is our style of play (or intended) under Ross?

I am in at the moment even after last nights performance but am rapidly losing patience. We started well on the front foot with an early goal looked as if we would score more but after McGeady’s atrocious penalty miss, lost our way completely instead of playing it on the ground we started lumping it up the field. This is a pattern all to familiar, when we play it to feet we look a decent side.
To allow sides to bully us is disgraceful and we have got to get back to basics.

14 wins from 34 this year is absolutely f***ing shite which exactly mirrors the football served up week in week out. He had two opportunities to secure promotion and failed in both. Our home performances are bad but away we get a new arsehole ripped most weeks by the likes of Rochdale, Ipswich and Peterborough. We completely fluked, 4 points from 9 in those games, still nowhere near good enough but the performances deserved nowt.

There is zero progress in our style of play or performances if there were any signs of such 80% of fans would not be shouting for him to be sacked.

Stats from last season don't interest me and shouldn't be used to make an assessment on the current season.

When have we "outclassed" anyone in the last season and a half. I'll give you beating Newcastle U21's in the Checkatrade last season, anymore?

Are you saying that every one of our wins in the league in the last year and a bit has been "lucky" against teams that outclassed us, whereas every loss and draw has been par for the course?

His bitching about expectation of the fans has been the final straw for me, if he can't handle being in charge of a big club (in this division) he is basically admiting he isn't up to the job.

I think a lot of people do. Again, the buck doesn't stop at Jack Ross there. When fully fit though we should be doing better with what we do have - trouble is his squad selections are often quite poor, like last night.
What was wrong with his selected starting 11 last night tho ? For 20 mins we butchered them , what was he supposed to do from the sidelines when his players bottled it after the pen miss ?

Out. Still doesn't know his best XI.

At 1-0 up, at home, he had 10 men behind the ball and 1 on the half way line.

Dead man walking.

Dylan McGeouch for one. O'Nien in the 'number 10' role or whatever it was meant to be.

We didn't butcher them at all man.

IF they so easily bottled it then perhaps they should never have been on the pitch.

We are playing exactly the same crap football as last season, that interests and worries me and it would appear around 80% of other fans. You will want him gone soon enough. I've been given all kinds of abuse on here for pointing out Ross's failings and yet those posters are now firmly in the out camp. What is glaringly obvious will occur to you too eventually.

Out

Has not learned from mistakes last season. Started off pre season saying we will aim to keep 20 clean sheets this season! The defense looks as shambolic as ever. Can't see us improving on last season with him still here. Pressure is starting to get to him too. He's in a no-win situation on Saturday, playing Bolton who have been gifting teams goals and only scored 1. It's going to be typical Sunderland when they beat us;
big away following
fans expecting big win
opposition contains ex Sunderland players
Opposition have not won yet this season

its lined up for a Bolton win with at least on of our ex players scoring

Out. Give a new manager time to work with the current squad, get them to perform and see if he can turn them into a football team
