More than once he said announcement expected this week...
Pleased that him and the papers were eventually correct and I have no real reason to doubt that he had more information than he was giving out (which really didn't appear to be any more than was in the papers,) but I can see why people might have been doubtful when he kept getting the date of the announcement wrong.

As I stated above deals of this size get delayed for all sorts of reasons, I never saw one when he said the announcement was definite, he only said the deal has been done,More than once he said announcement expected this week...
