Takeover Rumours

Negotiation tactics from both parties. Likely to both be twisting the truth. RH could have said "we don't rate him" to try get their chairman to lower the price. RH might not have said that at all and their chairman could be saying that to make Maddison less interested in joining us or to put pressure on the club to buy him.

I wouldn't hang on to any of them say regarding transfer negotiations. As you said, we don't know.

Exactly. Not sure why people are getting hung up on the term 'we don't know for sure' when clearly we don't.

Why would Richard Hill say he fancies a player but not at the price quoted if he doesn't fancy the player?

As I said earlier:

I wouldn't hang on to what any of them say regarding transfer negotiations.

What could be said by either party to make you believe one of them?

Great comparison. Well done.

Nothing. Every question they answer publicly regarding MM will be a way to get one up on the other side. Peterborough's chairman claiming SAFC don't want him instantly puts pressure on our owners from the fans. SAFC claiming they'll just wait till he's free next summer instantly puts pressure on them to lower their price.

It's all strategic and I'm not sure how you can't see this.
