Takeover Rumours

I'm glad @Grumpy Old Man is passing it on to be fair. Yes it is already being reported elsewhere but many are sceptical of any news reports. Due to previous things he's posted being right I'm happy that he's getting info about it, so if GOM posts saying he's said it looks good for later in the week and that backs up what the papers are saying, then I'm more confident about it than I would be if it was just a thing in the paper

Trouble with this is that FFP in the championship is about losses. So we might be able to inject money this season and spend loads, but next season (assuming we go up this season) we wouldn't be able to and if our wage bill has gone up significantly it would likely increase our losses which could become an issue. They're better off just spending what we can this season (which should still see us to up) and then try to be creative next season

I'd think they'd inject money in this season while they can and spend a little in Jan to get us over the line.

Then come the championship we won't be posting losses as we'd just be spending the donation.

Now. Is there anyone left on here that doesn't believe it's happening?

Come Thursday/Friday, we're the 2nd richest owned club in the world :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Most of those on here that have been the most vocal in denying the takeover will either go quiet or find something else to be negative about.

Whilst some have simply been (understandably) cautious, far too many have been deliberately negative .... those ones will crawl back under their rocks until they find something else to whinge about.

“Instead, Ross will be given every opportunity to win promotion this season, with the Black Cats’ new owners keen to make the maximum investment permitted under the Football League’s Salary Cost Management Protocols when the transfer window reopens in January.”

Woohoo
Maddison will be a cert in January if the above is the case.
