Takeover Rumours

it's in today's news, accessible from anywhere, even here in the colonies. if it was before the papers announced it then fair enough then it's a scoop. afterwords it's neither here or there.

I'm glad @Grumpy Old Man is passing it on to be fair. Yes it is already being reported elsewhere but many are sceptical of any news reports. Due to previous things he's posted being right I'm happy that he's getting info about it, so if GOM posts saying he's said it looks good for later in the week and that backs up what the papers are saying, then I'm more confident about it than I would be if it was just a thing in the paper
Given that "Football League’s Salary Cost Management Protocols" are based on 60% of projected turnover, I wonder what the chances of the new owners giving us a whacking great sponsorship deal are?

Could go mad in January then.

EDIT: Also, "Crucially, the FL Turnover figure includes donations from the owners to the club and injections of equity "

Seems very interesting as the edited part would not be permitted in the Championship or PL. Might get a big boost this season with intentions of it carrying us all the way to the PL.

Trouble with this is that FFP in the championship is about losses. So we might be able to inject money this season and spend loads, but next season (assuming we go up this season) we wouldn't be able to and if our wage bill has gone up significantly it would likely increase our losses which could become an issue. They're better off just spending what we can this season (which should still see us to up) and then try to be creative next season
